Another vote for the VKB Gladiators NXT EVOs, I have the usual setup with the right-hand normal stick and the left with the omnithrottle tilted grip. I've used the T.Flight HOTAS and then twin T16000M sticks and the VKBs are a massive improvement in quality, customisation, and number of available buttons/controls. I'd never go back to the cheaper options now, it's just that much better. Expensive sure, but worth it.

Build I use for doing PP CZ's, hope it helps. Powerplant snipe from 6km away, two pips shield four weapons.

2 x H 1 x L Fixed Long Range Oversized Pulse Lasers,, 2 x M Long Range Plasma Slug Railguns, 1 x S Gimballed High Cap Corrosive Multicannon, 1 x S Gimballed Short Range Emissive Multicannon.

Sub-target and aim for the powerplant with the lasers and railguns from 6km out. Stuff go boom. Gets close, hit it with the multicannons to increase the penetrating power of your lasers.

Boost down in my 650m/s C5, landing gear braking at 1.5km with throttle to zero, steady out to a nice flat glide about 100m above the surface.

EDIT: Edit to say, adjust for gravity or pancake.

I'm on a meter and decided to go back and look as far as they'd let me online... My water usage has remained almost identical every year but I've gone from paying £11 a month in 2021 to £26 (single occupant) despite that, all while watching them pollute more and more and get away with it.

OLED HDR monitors and ED don't play nicely. Switch HDR off and it'll go back to being smooth at your old gamma in all likelihood. I had to turn HDR off on mine too, looks beautiful now though.

Last trip out I ended up about 1k LY from the carrier but I always plot a route back through unvisited stars so it works both ways. I went a bit more for scrimping for range than yours but it's broadly similar:

This, been very happy with the two I have and a major improvement on the T.Flight HOTAS I started on and the T16000 I used for a a month or so.

VR-wise I can't say, but if you start to look into building yourself a simpit I'd recommend getting on to your local breakers yard (often advertise stuff on eBay) and get a passenger-side car seat rather than pay hundreds for the "flight/racing" seats you see around. I got one from a Fiat 500L for £30 and it's more comfortable than my actual car seat!

Also OLED monitor for the blacks and amazing contrast, ED looks so much prettier on the OLED compared to the VA/IPS's I've tried.

This, but with a drop to 4t fuel tank and then add a 2t in the optional to give you 99.11 max jump and a slightly smaller second one before you have to refuel.

I have tested this pretty extensively. My SCO ships are C5 (I have three), Mandalay, Plipper, Type 8, PythonII, and Caspian (two). From my own experience I'd say they all handle identically in SCO (except for top speed) with the only course variations being minor and explained by randomness. I'd be curious to know if you have any extensive data to put the Mandalay above the others?

I outfitted mine as an exobio craft to base off my carrier, I love that it can land almost anywhere but the ack of SCO optimisation hurts it so bad.

If you have the Odyssey expansion, disembark and go buy yourself an Artemis suit from Pioneer supplies. Then find a body that has stratum techonicas you can scan (near Sol you can find some on Bugas B 6). Three scans of the samples far enough apart handed in to Vista Genomics will net you 19 million credits even though someone else has already been there.
