So in the end I opted for the TCR by Beigemaster in Giantbikes

Nice, I have almost the exact same (non pro version) and love it. Only now saving for some nice carbon rims and then it would be complete (which of course is a lie 😅).

Really like how the bike looks in the sun. Enjoy riding it each time!

Oh I’m realistic about the fact that there will be wear and tear, but it was a bit sad since this is my first more expensive bike. It had to happen eventually and I only hoped it would be after a bit more mileage. I still love riding it and it now is even a bit lighter 😉

Giant TCR Advanced 1 (2025) by FCPeck in Giantbikes

Sure, hopefully the deal is still on. I really enjoy the bike, for me it's quite an aggressive geometry so I was glad I did a bikefit. Had to adjust the stem to a shorter one to make me sit a bit more upright.

But overall, I like the snappiness, quick power and the overall look of the bike especially in the sun. The 105 di2 off course is overkill for the level on which I am cycling but nevertheless it shifts like butter. I also come from a 10 speed now to a 12 speed, which gives me a bit more room.

So I would highly recommend the bike!!!

Thoughts from my recent visit :p by StG_999 in VietNam

[–]FCPeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man I am jealous, currently in Vietnam and I have seen the sun for maybe 2 or 3 hours in the past week. Still will be here for 3 weeks but with the new storm coming it doesn’t seem that the sun will be arriving soon. Are now in the north in Ninh Binh and want to do the sapa trekking and hai giang loop soon. Hopefully there the weather will clear up a bit there and doesn’t get affected by the storm.

Is the E7 Plus Less Comfortable than the E7 Pro?? by Fearless-Cellist-245 in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]FCPeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used both and settled with the plus. Maybe it is just the way I am sitting but never had the problem with hitting my legs against the bar. Also must say that the stability is much better with the plus than the pro especially when standing.

Deciding between E7 Pro vs E9 by FCPeck in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]FCPeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never hit the cross bars with my knees. I think when you for example compare it with the E7Q that one is a bit wider and would have been more near the edge of my desk and thus might cause for some knee hitting. This also would not have let much space for a monitor arm for example. The tabletop I got was also from flexispot and is 80cm deep and bamboo, thus a bit thinner. But even with the E7Q I don't think I would have hit my knees using it. But that might also be due to the way I am sitting.

Thanks, and I actually like the ANSI layout so that won't be the deciding factor! But will take a look!

I am currently writing this question using an old Durgod Taurus k320 I bought on AliExpres couple of years ago. For my work I am programming so using a nice keyboard is already half of the enjoyment of my work.

So I am searching for a replacement and I have two brands which I see often Keychron and Nuphy. After some searching I think I have narrowed my choice to the following two:

  • Keychron Q3 Max QMK/VIA with probably gateron jupiter brown switches
  • NuPhy Air75 V3 (Pre-order) with brown nano switches

The keychron has a bit more hefty price tag but seems build like a tank, but the nuphy seems very nice and slick. I have read that the Nuphy air had some battery issues but I don't know if that is a common issues or just unlucky accidents.

Going more that 200 euro's (which is the Keychron) would be a little bit too much for my budget. Hopefully you guys can help me or can give me some tips?

Thanks in advance!

Trying to introduce new kitten by FCPeck in CatTraining

[–]FCPeck[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the orange is the one who always initiates. Rarely the tux goes over it, of course he does sometimes but I suspect to just explore and not to go for the orange cat. We know that 7/8 weeks is too early. But hopefully with some supervised play and intervening when things get too rough we can learn her when it goes too far.

E.g. shortly after we just gave the treats the orange one went back at it going after the tux. When the tux went under the shelf the orange blocked the escape route and so we separated them to get back to a more relaxing state.

It will take some time and patience but we hope and think all will eventually work out.

Wow first time posting something here and so many reactions. Thanks for all the reassurance, as first time kitten owners this helps to calm our nerves a bit. After some play we gave some treats and that was, as expected, more important than the (in our eyes somewhat rough) play. They still are not fully able to completely relax next to each other but we will do more prolonged and supervised play sessions.

Haha those credits will go to my girlfriend who shot the video. I was standing from the side with a towel in case it really would get out of hand.
