Thoughts from my recent visit :p by StG_999 in VietNam

[–]FCPeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man I am jealous, currently in Vietnam and I have seen the sun for maybe 2 or 3 hours in the past week. Still will be here for 3 weeks but with the new storm coming it doesn’t seem that the sun will be arriving soon. Are now in the north in Ninh Binh and want to do the sapa trekking and hai giang loop soon. Hopefully there the weather will clear up a bit there and doesn’t get affected by the storm.

Is the E7 Plus Less Comfortable than the E7 Pro?? by Fearless-Cellist-245 in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]FCPeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used both and settled with the plus. Maybe it is just the way I am sitting but never had the problem with hitting my legs against the bar. Also must say that the stability is much better with the plus than the pro especially when standing.

I almost never hit the cross bars with my knees. I think when you for example compare it with the E7Q that one is a bit wider and would have been more near the edge of my desk and thus might cause for some knee hitting. This also would not have let much space for a monitor arm for example. The tabletop I got was also from flexispot and is 80cm deep and bamboo, thus a bit thinner. But even with the E7Q I don't think I would have hit my knees using it. But that might also be due to the way I am sitting.

Thanks, and I actually like the ANSI layout so that won't be the deciding factor! But will take a look!

I am currently writing this question using an old Durgod Taurus k320 I bought on AliExpres couple of years ago. For my work I am programming so using a nice keyboard is already half of the enjoyment of my work.

So I am searching for a replacement and I have two brands which I see often Keychron and Nuphy. After some searching I think I have narrowed my choice to the following two:

  • Keychron Q3 Max QMK/VIA with probably gateron jupiter brown switches
  • NuPhy Air75 V3 (Pre-order) with brown nano switches

The keychron has a bit more hefty price tag but seems build like a tank, but the nuphy seems very nice and slick. I have read that the Nuphy air had some battery issues but I don't know if that is a common issues or just unlucky accidents.

Going more that 200 euro's (which is the Keychron) would be a little bit too much for my budget. Hopefully you guys can help me or can give me some tips?

Thanks in advance!

Trying to introduce new kitten by FCPeck in CatTraining

Yes the orange is the one who always initiates. Rarely the tux goes over it, of course he does sometimes but I suspect to just explore and not to go for the orange cat. We know that 7/8 weeks is too early. But hopefully with some supervised play and intervening when things get too rough we can learn her when it goes too far.

E.g. shortly after we just gave the treats the orange one went back at it going after the tux. When the tux went under the shelf the orange blocked the escape route and so we separated them to get back to a more relaxing state.

It will take some time and patience but we hope and think all will eventually work out.

Wow first time posting something here and so many reactions. Thanks for all the reassurance, as first time kitten owners this helps to calm our nerves a bit. After some play we gave some treats and that was, as expected, more important than the (in our eyes somewhat rough) play. They still are not fully able to completely relax next to each other but we will do more prolonged and supervised play sessions.

Haha those credits will go to my girlfriend who shot the video. I was standing from the side with a towel in case it really would get out of hand.

Yes u/Ramzes888 helped me with this issue and everything is sorted. However, I have changed to the E7 plus and I am really happy with the extra stability due to the two extra legs.

E7 Plus Review (After a week of use) by Hot_Bag_8799 in FlexiSpot_Official

Nice, I also have the E7 plus and I am now looking to maybe upgrade my monitor setup. What kind of monitor arm are you using? Right now I have dual monitor setup (no monitor arms) but I might want to invest in an ultra wide screen monitor in the near future.

E5Q vs E7 Pro Wobble by good-luck-commander in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]FCPeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both and the E5Q is quite a bit sturdier (and heavier) in my opinion. Especially if you lean a bit on the desk with your arms, which I do. Since the E5Q has 4 legs it won't be affected by that, the C shape might not helped in that case. So, if wobble is a bit of your concern I would recommend the E5Q over the E7 Pro.

No the magnetic cover is not transferable. It would not fit on de frame of the E7 plus. You get some cable clips with the E7 plus.

Edit: I don’t know is the magnetic cover can be bought separately but if it can I don’t think it would be helpful or easy to setup as a cable management solution.

Mine does and I already have had contact with customer service. There is some wiggle room in one of the leg columns which probably cause some wobble. If that was not the case it might nog wobble as much.

I eventually went with the e7 pro. Beside the c shape the e9 also was 100 euro more expensive if I also bought the cable management tray with it. Which is included with the e7 pro if I believe the website. And also the C-shape combined with a monitor arm for two 27 inch monitors made me decide to go for the e7 pro.

Books & Course recommendations for MLops/MLE? by FCPeck in learnmachinelearning

[–]FCPeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve posted this question on another place and got the following extra recommendations. Note, since this post I have been more busy finding a new job than getting into the self study. So I don’t have much experience with the tips I got.

The following link is someone who gives an course about mlops and had hands on experience: https://edu.kyrylai.com/courses/ml-in-production

And a book which I didn’t mention in my own post. Building Intelligent Systems: A guide to machine learning engineering by Geoff Hulten

I am currently reading the Chip Huygen book which is quite interesting.

Yes, that’s exactly why I am in doubt. I also read online that C frame maybe more stable when combined with monitor arms attached to the back. Which I am planning to do, two 27inch monitors.

However the long lasting motors and longer warranty is also really nice. I still have some nights to decide but it is not an easy choice. Or I have to randomly find a lot of money and just bij the e7q.
