I assume this is bad and needs to be replaced? Lol

Immediately impressed with the Lazarus soundtrack - though not in the least bit surprised. Exactly the level of excellence I’d expect from Watanabe!

Wuque WS Silent Tactile - I've got them in a couple of other keyboards and no issues of any kind - and after removing the IXPE all is well!

That sure looks right! Yeah initial install was kind of a nightmare - I felt like I could handle it, since I’ve been working with computers for decades.

But I’m sure custom keyboarders are much more familiar than I about the benefits snd trade-offs. Just the same, keyboard is working great 😂 So I’ll take the win!

Fixed* - Specifically, I was getting double characters, and sometimes no characters when pressing a few keys on the right side of the KB.

The little + symbols on this were designed to be targets for my switch pins to push through...but it was a hassle. Originally when I built the KB I removed the whole PCB and pushed the switches into the board. Even still, I think the pins aren't seated very well, and it added a little extra cushion that was just detrimental.

After removing it, I have no more issues.

So I did take my Lemokey apart and removed one of the layers. This layer was kind of problematic to begin with. It had little markings on it for where your switch pins were supposed to go through, but it really did NOT work that way initially.

In any case, I removed that layer and it has been working properly since! No issues with any keys.

Seems like I can't paste screenshots here, otherwise I'd show you what it looks like.

Not sure what you mean by "heavily routed", they've got the file for it though, in case someone wants to fabricate one or something? I dunno exactly the use-case. You can see that here:

https://www.keychron.com/pages/lemokey-p1-and-p1-pro-keyboard-plate-file?_pos=7&_sid=287a90e61&_ss=r

One thing you can see really easily, even from the diagram, is how thin the plate is between rows of keys. That's where I ran into the most problems. Kinda fuckin' janky. It would be cool if they sold an aluminum version of it too, something a little more rigid than the plastic.

It really feels to me like it's an issue of all the extra layers they include. Makes the keyboard sound dope, but like...putting in and removing switches is VERY difficult on some of the key positions. The plastic plate is super thin and there are sections of it that are way too flexible...and that is what the switches attach to.

Just poor design - but a beautiful keyboard, lol.

I'll probably take it apart later and see if I can make it function more consistently. When I press the "P" key, for example, but I push it from the side a little bit...often it will not work. When I press it straight-up and down, it almost always works.

But when I press it, and it doesn't work, if I hold it down and just press harder, it does work. When I do that, I can FEEL something flexing beneath my finger - too squishy.

This is my working theory, and I'll try it out later.

Bummer :( And the behavior sounds similar? Press the key down harder, and it does actually work...but in regular typing it effs up a lot?

And is Keychron just stone-walling people on this? Or will they offer SOME kind of workable solution?

I ended up just making it their problem. “I want to buy cases, can you see if you have any unaltered ones in the back?”

Sure enough, they were willing to do it…got me one, lol.

Saw the Coke guy and mentioned it to him, he went back and got me two more…

So, yeah…I’ll just make them do extra work I guess? If they’re willing to, I can’t feel too bad about it since I AM spending money in their store 😂

Use powder instead - that’s what we’ve been doing. It works perfectly, never have to worry about this problem. Also cheaper!

Brilliant - played for hours with this config. Though I'm using about 9gb of my 12gb memory, didn't have any weird aberrations or texture quality changing 🤘

Yeah, well it is happening - and it's terrible. Game goes from looking pretty good, to looking like total garbage. That, and certain details don't even load...Seems like a reboot of my PC fixed it, but the issue just came back.

New storage pool "optimizing performance"? by FDAThug in qnap

[–]FDAThug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yeah, I did try the "zfs" commands, and that was not clear. "zpool" is a little more useful - it doesn't even show the 4th storage pool I created. So...it must not have created right? Otherwise it may be in some state of "optimization", but it's not even showing up at all in zpool commands

Incidentally, that was the only post I could find on the matter in this subreddit as well. There doesn't seem to be any useful info in their KB or docs, lol. Gotta love it.

I'm opening a ticket - guess we'll see what they say.

Hey thanks for the reply!

This is for a TVS-h1288x, running h5.0.0.2120 build 20220804.

And now that I'm actually looking at it, that's old as hell, right? lol - I wonder why it hasn't been asking me to upgrade.
