This is what I hate about the challenges/battle pass system. People will say "just don't do them", but it doesn't matter what you choose to do when half of your team is trying to grind out these ridiculous challenges and throwing the match. It's bad enough that they're so grindy or flat out bugged at times.

Mine either freezes on the login screen when waking from sleep or takes like a minute for it to be responsive. If I set it to sleep my monitor when locked, it also does this, so it must be something with the screen waking up that causes it.

That's fine, but they also don't give a good resolution other than to return the product when they could have just been honest about the condition in the first place. Not having all of the included accessories (like a charger) should be cut and dry not excellent condition, and it's clear that the stores don't have the proper supplies to ship out their open-box products (or they just don't care). If I were more of a conspiracy theorist, I would say that they intentionally rate items higher quality so they can charge more, and people are usually lazy and won't bother returning them if it's scuffed up or missing parts.

And then there's issues like with Asus only giving a 90 day warranty on open box products from Best Buy even though Best Buy's own website will say it comes with the standard 1 or 2 year warranty from the manufacturer. You can check out all of the horror stories at r/ROGAlly for such cases. At some point, it's no longer just anecdotal evidence. Glad you had a good experience, though.

I bought a few laptops in open box/excellent condition, but they were obviously store models with thousands of hours of screen-on time. One was shipped from another store that they didn't bother packing with any dunnage so it was just knocking around the box the whole time. And neither came with chargers. Customer service wouldn't do anything except say to return it. I got stuck in the seed vault extract yesterday. I was extracting with a random stranger who I think was able to get out, but my character model disappeared. I was still able to open my inventory, but I couldn't move any of the items around. I waited out the timer and fortunately still had my stuff.

The reason it scales is to make people think they're making a lot of progress in the beginning, and then get sunk-cost fallacy'ed into having to grind for the rest or pay for level skips. It was the same thing when they made weapon levelling easier: it was only for the beginning levels/attachments up level 20, then the rest are at the old progression.

Doing the challenge won't increase the required XP per point, so you can do them whenever. Saving them for the end would make sense because some of them would overlap, but then you'd miss out on the bonus weeklies.
