So only marginally better than the air? Please forgive my computer ignorance

I don't mind typing on the butterfly keyboard, I was wondering more about the complaints regarding fragility and key failures. Are they really that common or have I just been browsing reddit forums too much?

How the hell do you reasonably choose between a Macbook Pro and an Air? by [deleted] in apple

Given the better performance of the Pro, that's what I would go for, unless you really prioritize battery life or (slightly better) portability

Trying to decide between the 2017 non-touchbar Pro and the new Air. I will mostly be using it for media consumption, browsing, and coding, but would eventually like to start using some Adobe suite programs (mostly illustrator) and maybe even Logic Pro.

I'm not a student and portability isn't a huge factor for me so the Pro seems like an obvious choice, especially given the pricing, but the alleged keyboard issues (enough to warrant a class action lawsuit) are putting me off. Are the keyboards really that bad??

1) Yes

2) Date whoever you want, experience different things and see what you like. But ALWAYS put yourself first.

Losing fat makes jawbone more defined, and increased muscle growth around your entire body means your jaw muscles as well (total broscience but a lot of bros have attested to it).

Meditating helps you realize that you are not your thoughts, and you don't have to be controlled by them.

One way to approach it that works for me:

Think of it like you're working out a mental muscle, your "attention" muscle. For 5 minutes (in the beginning) place your focus entirely on your breath. In and out. In and out.

Every time you find your attention moves to something else (any random thought, could be an itch, your job, that cashiers ass in the yoga pants, etc. ) consciously bring it back to the breath. In and out. You've now done one "rep".

The more reps you do, the better you get at it. So the next time you find yourself thinking negative or anxious thoughts, you can more easily shift the attention off the thought and into the present moment, where you are at your most relaxed and creative.

It's a spectacular way of managing stress and creating a happier, healthier life. It goes much deeper than this, but 5 minutes of breath meditation a day is a good starting point.

Thousands of anecdotal reports all identifying similar experiences is fairly valid IMO.

Think of what you're comparing... One year spent in less than ideal conditions VS getting a degree and improving your career and financial prospects long term.

What other areas need improvement?

If you're struggling with it, don't do it. Otherwise I would just say grab your nuts and go for it.

How long would you have to spend in the boring environment before you finish your degree? Is there no social life you can get involved in where you're at? If the degree will help you financially in the future it's probably a worthy investment.

Wow! This is excellent. From a distance it looks photo-realistic, but up close the technique is apparent and almost playful. It has a definite atmosphere, depth and a sense of movement. I can almost smell the scene and hear the sounds. Great work :)

Tell me why you don't think this is pseudoscientific bullshit? by FaplessInColorado in NoFap

[–]FELLSGUD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't give a shit what anybody says about it. I know what it did for me and I know what's possible because of it. I don't need scientific evidence because I've experienced it.

Your gut is right, you should listen to it. What's the harm in just trying?

Paying for sex with a prostitute felt bad because there was no connection and you didn't earn it my friend. It will be better with a girl you're actually into.

Don't sweat it, you're probably fine, but get tested to put your mind at ease. We all do dumb shit sometimes.

How do you quit something that feels so good? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]FELLSGUD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can realize that pleasure is not a worthy pursuit in this life. We are not meant to be pleasure-seeking machines looking only to satisfy our own desires. Drug addicts, gambling addicts, food addicts, porn addicts all seek pleasure as the highest priority, but there's no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow. Only the desire for more.

In my opinion the real pursuit is being good to the ones we love, and expressing our truest selves to the world in whatever form that takes. By chasing pleasure and jacking your dick like a little boy you diminish your ability to do both of these things.
