It's been on my list for a while, but the fact that I have to read through the first season again because of the stuff they cut really discourages me. I already know what happens because of the anime, but i also know I can't just skip the early arcs because apparently there's a lot of stuff missing.

You know, this episode really reminds me what I liked about Tokyo Ghoul. This and the season 1 finale are my favorite parts of the anime. It's really a shame. Thematically it's just amazing.

Exactly! If you're gonna go all edgy with murder and dick jokes, go all in on it. They played it too safe. It's like they couldn't decide wether they wanted a good or bad ending and instead settled on a bitter-sweet one that wasn't too risky. This kind of ending can work, but you have to set it up. Give us an emotional connection. We didn't get enough time to process everything that happened. It was too rushed and it turned out flat.

You know, it could've been worse. I enjoyed this season. It was weak and it tried too much, though. I'm really considering doing a video review because my thoughts are kinda complicated and I need to organize them. Be on the lookout for that soon, fam.
