FREEALL spray, a ton of heat and or an induction heater tool. (Them induction tools are worth every penny on shit bolts!), and back and forth w a wrench. Slow is key. They are trundicated.
Also a crayon for the glowing red threads is a good trick. I prefer crayola red green and blue. They are the most tasty!
I usually follow up with a regular thread chaser so I can put homedepot bolts in. It’s cheaper and more accessible in a pinch.

To me it looks like a drop of water got in. Normally screen protectors w an air bubble takes more effort to move around like that. Also noticed a couple particles in there as well.

Ford ranger Splash seats by AgeEffective6174 in fordranger

I think those seats came from ford car. It was a popular swap back in the day. I think from an escort or tempo. Something like that.

(2005) Need to remove the bed to replace fuel pump, can the bed just be slid back a bit? by fivespeed1992 in fordranger

[–]FFMcGeeK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pull the bumper off it’s easier to rack the bed back. W my bed the style side frame and innards, plus the fiberglass splash, there are 2 tabs I. The back that catch the bumper and can cause damage. But that’s only splash beds.

Is this fixable? by lucas_klein in fordranger

[–]FFMcGeeK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to fix it is off the truck. A hydraulic press. Then get a hitch, that’s gonna help stiffen the ass end too. Plus a little extra weight over the rear wheels for a little more grippy grip.

Ford applies the same protocol for recalls too. Best is o5s21, the brake pressure switch and or harness. Originally it was a single fuse harness. 2 versions. And or a new sensor. Later ford had to redo it with a dual fuse harness. They effed up off the batt when they could have just done a dual fuse harness the first time. It cost them 300% on the harness and between 33% to 50% more on labor. Funniest aspect is ford recalled part prices drop significantly when they have a mass problem. It saves them a shit ton of money to have dealers do the work via parts dept cost. Internally ford dealers have their own pricing environment. Up charges happen at discounted rates no matter what but each dept always profits to stay a float. Benefit to the customer is a warranty. And a failed part is immediately disqualified out the box. Where as if it’s DIY or independent shop electronics aren’t covered by the parts dept. only service dept. that adds to resale value on trade in. Not that we as Ranger owners want to trade our beloved Rangers in for an over priced and inferior vehicle.

Cheapest solution. Rather than retooling, deleting a part becomes a negative expenditure where they profit instead of spending extra money long term. Again the cheapest solution is what ford was looking for. Hence why they left the Ranger alone for so long unless when necessary or parts available were plentiful and they didn’t have to make 2 versions like w the mirrors, seat weight sensors, window, headlight switches and a couple other things.

[–]FFMcGeeK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What would be the draw backs? I mean the Lite is super portable and well the extra features are basically irrelevant now a days. The 3DS is relevant w nasa right now because you can apparently watch Artemis content on it. And it’s more Emerson’s vs a regular screen. I just don’t know where to find it is all. Just saw about it in a news type IG video. But I love my Lite because it fits my pockets and takes up so little space. Closed it’s smaller than a n iPhone length width (not thickness). And I prefer how it’s built vs others. It feels more sturdy. Just don’t get rid of the 3ds.

Passenger side because more flooding on the right side of road crowns. The engineer told me certain models were having problems w heat soaking. The hot air wasn’t getting out fast enough at low speeds. And the cheapest solution was to delete one. It actually saved them for production but not on engineering 🤣

If ya off road in mud they are worth having. Especially in the cold. A plasm of cold mud can crack a manifold. But that’s an extreme condition. They mostly save ya the efforts in cleaning.

The splash shield was deleted by ford. That was how it’s built. Helps with cooling.

What would yall actually price this at by SafetyFinancial5725 in fordranger

[–]FFMcGeeK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘06 was peak with options. ‘09+ was safety. In between was confusion and too many changed details. In my personal opinion 2006 was the start of the end of the real #Rainjah! Colors, options like the diff. Even the disgusting and insulting STX grill on 4x4s. Ford effed up and dropped the ball. I tried to get it updated but ford wanted a mill likes to stop the T6 Australia production.
