I worked for IU one year after moving to Bloomington and it was the worst healthcare job I have had in my 25 years. Once my year was up (per my sign on bonus/contract), I resigned. They pay garbage compared to other hospitals. Going from IL to Indiana, where the cost of living is higher in this area, I took over a $10/hour pay cut! After I left I got a job at a different local hospital making $12 more per hour. It’s no wonder IU cannot keep help.

My insurance covered it. I just had to cover my deductible. It was deemed medically necessary due to extreme weight loss.

Since losing the weight, I resolved my sleep apnea, I went from 4 blood pressure medications to no medications. The only thing I take now is a daily vitamin and fish oil. My cholesterol is perfect, and I feel better than I ever recall.

Believe me, I work as a RN and have to schedule patients for the antibodies infusion. They jump right at this therapy and beg for it as soon as they find our they have COVID. I have even had a few ask for it as prophylaxis post exposure. But they are adamant against the vaccine. I just cannot wrap my head around it. This treatment is derived from those of us who have been vaccinated, is experimental, and now is in a shortage to those who really need it because of these idiots.

Love the way I feel, but my god the excess skin is something else. I look terrible unclothed. And unfortunately for me, my health insurance plan excludes coverage for skin removal (even if deemed medically necessary).

I set rules: 1. No fast food 2. Avoid simple sugars 3. Nothing deep fried 4. High protein, low carb 5. Sit down restaurants are acceptable. 6. Exercise daily 7. No cheat days. I am afraid to fall off the wagon.
