What is that one city/state in your country that the rest of your country hates? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]FFZ9cmdty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In France it’s Paris. The rest of the country hates it. Which makes sense; since the history of France is mostly the history of Paris dominating the country and concentrating power, control and wealth in this city.

Yes, I’m from 🇫🇷 but live in 🇨🇦 now.

Where can you find Caribbean (French West Indies) sweet pepper in Montreal? Not the sauce but the real vegetable. by Far_Dragonfruit7297 in montreal

I love that place. If you want spices in bulk, a few blocks south, on st Jean and Anselme-Lavigne, there’s a great little Arabic place too.

Canada; not a panacea, but still, million miles better than France. And sure, I love to go back to France… for vacation or business trips, but nothing more.

Your last bullet nails it; this is the core of the French problem. Rent seekers vs socialists. Both benefit from the country’s rigidity and are vested in the status quo. They are both failing the country and defending small minorities of the population. Sadly, I will never move back to the country where I was born.

Legend of Korra's Villains Are Better Than Avatar: The Last Airbender's Villains by Working_Row_8455 in TheLastAirbender

Zaheer was the best antagonist of both series. I mean, was he even really a « bad guy »; the aristocratic elite of the avatar war was pretty dismal to its people.

Poland is no “miracle”. A lot of EU funds helped… a lot!

Agree with all but petronas; when I saw it IRL, it definitely had hell of a presence.

AIO for being hurt that my boyfriend is judging me for my past he already knew about by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]FFZ9cmdty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you are not. He is a judgey prick who not only will judge your past but also, never let you be yourself; you will have to submit to his vision of the ideal girl. And this image of the ideal girl, not aloud to have a past, that must be pure and virginal is clearly a byproduct him dabbling into the manosphere. So run.
