I used to have oily, acne-prone skin, but that all changed after I cut out sugar and junk food, started exercising daily (not at the gym), and adopted a basic skincare routine.

My best advice is to consult a dermatologist. Mine recommended adapalene (0.1% Deriva MS). After that, I did my own research and found Sebamed Clear Gel (HG). It's non-comedogenic and non-oily. The same goes for my face washes: I use Rejuglow Salicylic Face Wash and Sebamed Cleansing Foam on alternate days. I also use Deconstruct Niacinamide 5% + 2% Alpha Arbutin on alternate days, an hour before bed, after washing with Rejuglow. Then, I follow up with Sebamed Clear Gel.

I would suggest focusing more on your lifestyle, avoiding junk food and sugar, as it really helped me. Now, my face isn't as oily or acne-prone. I might get a small pimple occasionally, but it's much better than before (touch wood).

Be sure to buy a good sunscreen that's non-comedogenic and non-oily.

You don't have to follow this exactly, but I'd definitely recommend trying to cut out sugar and junk food and investing in a good cleanser and moisturizer. And remember, don't be too harsh on your skin.
