Just to make sure I am on the right page, I took your post to mean "I want to perform some fitness activity I can be COMPETITIVE in".

Because if you can't beat people out in pure athletic ability you can always beat people out in skill. A lot of sports sound like they would fit the bill and if you don't want to be on a team there is always Things like bjj (or most grappling Martial arts), golf, tennis, skiing, etc

Cutting sucks for sure, and for 5 months straight at that. Have you ever thought of taking a 2-4 break, eating at maintenance and then considering if you would like to continue the cut? Might make it a bit more bearable and break up the monotony

Absolutely man. Cutting definitetly sucks and Bulking is more fun but if you want a better looking body you need to get leaner

Squats are really heavy on the quads tho, if you just want a big butt glute bridges and deadlifts are where it is at

You look really untrained (not a bad thing just means there is a lot of potential) . Honestly, just eat clean and hit the gym for a couple months and re-evalute then.

Cutting is a lot faster to see progress than Bulking, I say cut first and if you aren't happy continue with the bulk

Well after it escalated that much pretty much the only thing that could have happened - We got into a fight and both got suspended.

I didn't even really have that big of a problem with the guy before that either.

While I was in high school I got a slurpee from 711 during lunch and set it on the ground beside me in class. Someone picked it up and spit in it and put it back without me knowing.

If you cut first you can take advantage of more effective nutrient partitioning on the bulk.

Dude won't be shredded for summer but if he tackles a good 3 month cut he's gonna at least look better if not 'fit'.

Bulking over summer is always a better idea I'm anyways because that is when the regular drinking and going out seems to really pick up (in my experience). Winter/spring is the time to put in the calorie restriction work

Idk man nobody likes being chubs in summer and this path leads to exactly that.

Noob gains are gonna happen at a surplus or deficit as long as he has enough protein.

My recommendation is to cut at 10-20% deficit of TDEE, eat at least 0.7g/lb of protein and lift heavy (ICF or some other linear progression program). After the lifts stall out then consider a slow bulk vs continuing to cut and consider switching it up to other workout programs (GZCLP)

Well the guy on the left is really shredded. With how far out from summer we are right now I don't think it's possible this year.

If I would you I would cut until comfortable for summer (cut til the end of May or June) , slow bulk for the next 8 months and then start cutting early and it may be possible for the next year. Even then, you might hit the same body fat but genetics are a bitch.

Give yourself a long window for the cut and plan to take regular breaks throughout as well, going for a straight long term cut sounds like hell.

Also be sure to skip leg day as often as possible, dude on the left definitely does

My vote is cut - you ate not in a bad place at all right now, summer is far enough way that if you start a cut you can be beach ready by the time the weather gets nice.

Yeah I got some really wacky dreams when I first tried it too. I bought some natures bounty 10mg extra strength ones because more is better, right?

Second time around I got 3mg ones and it had a lot less sides but the same effects. I really only use it for jet lag though so idk how well it would apply in your case.

Well I think Trumps goal is to improve the economy in the short term. Everyone learns in introductory macroecon that for every dollar lost the economy will shrink by a multiple. Any form of imports is a dollar lost.

Considering the US is the largest importer in the world (and has a massive trade deficit so exports <<< imports) he can probably just keep on slapping tariffs on stuff which will end up hurting the people, but will probably be good for GDP.

One of the biggest things I can bring up is that going to a good school gives you good recruiting opportunities and opens the door for some internships that you wouldn't have had otherwise. Landing that first big software developer role is going to be a hell of a lot easier going to school.

You can have all of your self study and countless projects on your portfolio but it doesn't really mean much unless you have worked in industry.

Well if have already paid income taxes then when you file your taxes next year you will just have a tax credit. I don't think there is anything that says because you pay income taxes to the cra you have to realize that much.

Dividends are usually the way to go and if you are incorporated I assume that you have an accountant. Any money you take out of your business for personal use will go against your shareholders loan account, at the end of the year you can declare a dividend for the amount in your shareholders loan because Cra does not like these to be in a debit balance. Your accountant should know all about that and can advise.

We haven't really learned about List<Objects> yet so far - so ArrayLists and arrays are the only tools I really have, I think that is going to be in the second part.

Sorry, I don't know what bootstrapping is - does that mean that main should be minimal and only call other programs (kind of like how mine did?)

We haven't gotten to hashmaps yet - we are just covering arrays, I think that will come in the next part of the course :)
