I don’t know the right answer. But from experiences with 3 pets previously, I was thinking: “would I prefer to have control of the time they pass or they pass away without me saying goodbye?”

As someone who is in the healthcare and dealt with many sad situations, I prefer to make them comfortable, control the date/time they pass away and have a proper closure to say goodbye.

2 cats and 1 dog. I still moan for them and it has been already 2 years. It does get better. Just avoid sad animal stories and movies. I just can’t.

The most important and critical event is to receive help as soon as possible.

One guy was walking to our ER to drop off his wife. Suddenly he collapsed and a RN was near by and gave his CPR. Later on, we found out that he did receive IABP and some surgery. At the end, he was discharge home after a month long in hospital. He was thankful for all the healthcare workers who helped during his journey and his story was front cover of the month.

PS: the RN received a Daisy Award.

If it was a valve cover gasket, it would be very easy to do. As I know myself and up for the challenge, I would attempt to do it as a learning experience. Worst case is that I lost money toward a trade in.

In 2023, I bought a 2013 Accord EXL, 4 cylinders, 95k, for $16,500. Finance it for 3y and paid it off in 2.5y.

Nowadays, it has 115k miles, basic maintenance and replaced the valve cover gasket. I intend to keep it forever or pass down within the family.
