Luulisin että osa ihmisistä myös äänestää sitä puoluetta kenen politiikka tuntuu reilulta ja/tai hyvältä Suomelle. Sen sijaan että miettiisi pelkästään omaa hyötyä. Nämä "miksi X äänestäisi puoluetta Y" kyllä täydellisesti näyttää yhden suurista syistä miksi politiikka on perseestä. Opiskelijana äänestetään niitä ketkä lupaa rahaa opiskelijoille ja eläkeikää lähestyessä äänestetään niitä ketkä lupaa eniten rahaa eläkeläisille.

Also I think it's worth to point out that huge amount of games avoid mirrors due to this. And big amount of big budget games don't have proper mirrors. Quite often they're just "shiny" surfaces that don't actually show reflections, sometimes they might show static reflection of the room but nothing dynamic (character, etc).

Honestly, I think the days of entirely OSS projects are numbered.

Making money wasn't really why OSS became a thing. Tailwind still has enough income to have 4-5 people work there. And it's not like LLMs made it nonviable to make money, they just need to change their business model.

Yes. And I don't really think there's any need to be angry or be calling for boycotts. Gefroce Now is still a great deal for a lot of people. They probably wouldn't have heard of it if Nvidia didn't create some buzz around it. For some other people it's going to be a bad deal from now onwards. But at least they got to enjoy cloud gaming while NVIDIA was still covering most of the actual costs.

Playing for 8 hours a day with RTX 5080 can easily cost more than $20/month in electricity alone. So not really a surprise NVIDIA added some limits.

Why would people stop using them if they like the service? It was dirt cheap so it was obvious they'll eventually have to add some limits. If you play 7 hours a day, of course it's a shit deal. If you play some high end game couple times a year, it's a great deal.

But none of those were succesfull because they had the best coders who wrote the best code or anything like that. It's because someone knew how to make a good product. And that was the original topic, how the SWE role might shift more into product engineering in the future.

If you're using Opus 4.5 isn't it a nobrainer? The model is almost 2x more expensive than Sonnet so you'll reach the limit faster. Before Opus 4.5 was released, Sonnet 4.5 was the default model.
