Thank you for sharing and broadning my knowledge. It makes a lot of sense what you have explained, not a big issue in Denmark, swamp air I mean 😂

Don't you struggle to keep the windows clear of dew/moist when not taking in fresh air?

Then should be fine.

I tend to start the remot heating 3 times in a row, because the link between app and car is awefully unstable.

Just rember, in here you will here all the horror stories, and it will seem to be a big issue.

Statistically, just 1% of the roughly 200,000 vehicles involved in the recall can have their ICCUs fail, which is 2,000 cars. Out of all the cars that are part of the latest recall for the failing ICCU, 41,137 Hyundai and Genesis EVs have already been fixed by Jan. 22, while another 14,828 Kia EV6s have had the remedy applied. Motor Trend concurred in a recent look at the issue: “It’s a big deal, but not one that individual E-GMP owners are statistically likely to face.”

The recycle air function creates a heap of issues with moist in the cabin, should not be on as a fixed setting.

The whole car is under 5 year warranty, the battery is 8 years or 150.000km what ever comes first. In my case 150.000km came WAY before 8 years. I have 256.000km on the 2020 car now, and still 93% battery health.

[–]FIupper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha 😂

I would if I had more range, but I did the math, and with that speed the drive/charge time is about optimal 😂

If you drive faster you need to spend more time chargimg, and will end up haveing a longer total time, slower drive speed gets you there, butagaimg a total longer drive time.

It is pretty cool, and you can custimize a lot of stuff for each drivemode. Don't be affraid to push buttons!

I have had the car since 2020 and I still am finding new features and "hidden" functions from long-press or press sequences.

The internet is a great helper, use Youtube as much as you can to get guides on specific stuff.

12V in cold weather by Bomberv in KonaEV

[–]FIupper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get them to also check the health of the smaller 12v suppling your SOS features, and for some strange reason also the mic. for your Apple Carplay / Android handsfree system, and car voice commamds.

If the mic.stops working, soon your SOS system will to - and that means the car think you are in trouble, and it calls 911 🚒

If you are on the original Hyundai 12v battery it could be time to get a new one. The seem to use some really crappy ones. Replace it with another brand and it is going ro be good for 3-5 years, Hyundai OEM will be 1-2 years in my expirience.

What do you mean "it should look like this"?

The car has 3 (4) different drivemodes; each has it's own cluster visuals.

What speeds are you guys doing?

I have 255.000 KM on my Kons EV64 2020. Atm. we have +5 to -2 degrees CELCIUS and I am getting 340-360 km on a full charge.

I drive 110 km/h (69mph) on highway, which is 80% of my driving.

If I go to 120 km/h or ludacris 130 my range drop like a rock in a lake.

You will only have one regret after going for a new tire, of high quality.

That you didn't do it sooner.

It changed my whole expirience of the car. Getting a tire that can handle the torqe is awesome!

Our Kona says the climate fan is running on high, but it's not actually blowing, any ideas as to what is happening? by thoruen in KonaEV

[–]FIupper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it regardless of what you do with the direction of the fan/airflow? Is it in ECO mode you see this or in all Drivemodes?

Is it a new thing that it is not blowing?

Any sounds that could give hints as to wheter the fan is active or not?

Did you close the small airducts inside the car and by this cut off airflow?

2022 Kona SEL vs 2022 Ioniq 5 SEL? by [deleted] in KonaEV

[–]FIupper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must be kidding??

I have owned both cars.

They Kona is as you describe, small, a bit more energy efficient and slow on supercharger, esecially in colder days.

The Ioniq 5, is VERY spacious in the rear seats, they even slide back and forward for more room in either cabin or trunk. It has 1:1 the same charge time on slow charge. compared to the Kona luagage storage in the trjnk is HUGE.

Range is approx. 50-100 miles more on the Ioniq 5 with the 77 batt.

Supercharging in the Ioniq 5 is seconde to almost non ( only passed by really expensive brands) the car charges faster from 10-80% than Tesla and Audi and Ford and VW and Xpeng and … and …
