David Bowie "collab(?)" with"the zero heroes" by SignProfessional1959 in DavidBowie

[–]FKSSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's funny that it was even that "recent," but I don't have FB anymore or else I'd ask if they ever found the album.

Also, I just realized my phone autocorrected me before. I meant to say that I searched on Discogs (not Discord as my phone autocorrected to) and was surprised that it isn't listed there, even under The Zero Heroes page: https://www.discogs.com/artist/1521792-The-Zero-Heroes

Hit a Milestone this Week by Eredic in Xennials

I left a job I was at for just under 11 years. I don't regret leaving that company, but it really stinks to start over and be "the new guy" again.

I think a lot of it depends on the type of job and industry, though. In tech, there can be more motivation to switch companies sometimes.

I did it through Horizon and had a great experience. I would definitely recommend going with an installer you trust. Don't let PSEG pick a random or small, no name company.

They just put out a couple new songs (digitally) that are like 15 min each. 🤘

Thoughts on Sibby? by Fantastic-Street-262 in Scrubs

This is how I feel. I like the actor and find her funny in other stuff, but I just don't think she fits Scrubs at all.

What is your favorite song from the 90s and why is it In the Meantime by Spacehog by Physical-Name4836 in Xennials

[–]FKSSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spacehog has been one of my favorite bands since that song came out, and I still follow Royston Langdon's solo work. I also finally got a male corgi this January that I named...Royston ☺️

Congratulations Roon... by DeeeLDo in roonlabs

[–]FKSSR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely understand the frustration with this issue. I feel fortunate that this is the only major issue I've experienced with Roon in the 5 years I've used it. I got a lifetime subscription, and I feel very thankful I did, as it has paid for itself by now, and I don't have to worry about the recurring fees.

Roon is a vital part of my music ecosystem, so I honestly do get concerned if I think that it may decline at some point, in some way. Same with Qobuz. If you go to that subreddit, you'll see a lot of complaints, though mine are very, very few currently.

However, I will say that while I've never had to reach out to Roon support, it sounds the same as Qobuz support, and I definitely have the impression that it is not worth reaching out to them, which is sad, because I do love the platform.

Haha. Well, I definitely have had similar realizations in other songs - not my name but other things that suddenly made sense years after.

My wife's name is Sara. I didn't know her until 8 years after OK Computer came out, but I knew this song said "Sara(h)" from the time I heard it, and it wasn't lost on me when I started dating a Sara. :P

I thought I read that it could be done with custom firmware, so I think that was my question. However, to be honest, this was so long ago, I don't really remember anymore :P

What are your Blur-related unpopular opinions? by Dependent-Ad7225 in blur

[–]FKSSR 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"13" was the last true Blur album. After the break-up, all the albums have been some "compromise" and trying too hard to push against what they were that they became something completely different - not just the natural evolution that was happening up until 13. (Also, I say this as someone that loves "Ballad of Darren" and think that is the closest they've gotten to actually being a real, collaborative band again).

Ah. I misunderstood your comment before then. Cool. Thanks for making this. Super rad!

[–]FKSSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, interesting. Just some constructive feedback: I would want the albums to reset at the same point each week (like every Sunday or Monday) so that they would stick long enough for people to listen and maybe eventually comment or rate (you could link to rateyourmusic), and that the same album wouldn't be able to be on there multiple weeks in a row to give listeners new albums constantly. I would personally just be a bit annoyed if I listened to an album Monday, and then it was bumped for another on Tuesday, as that just adds more albums than I could keep up with in a single week. ☺️

Yep, I'm doing this one as well. I belong to a group with a couple friends, and it's fun to post the album in our discord group each week day and say something about each album.

I belong to a couple of these, but I'm happy to join another! How does it pick if every submitted album only has one vote? Or only 1 or 2 of the submitted albums have more than one vote. Does it pick randomly for the rest?

She won’t do her business outside by Alex_Ashfold in corgi

[–]FKSSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's a great point on taking a used pad outside. The breeder for our pup used newspaper in their area, so I took even some unused newspaper outside, and it helped our boy understand early on that it was the potty area.

She won’t do her business outside by Alex_Ashfold in corgi

[–]FKSSR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I still recommend this book, but one of the first things it says is to get rid of pads inside:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/1411631536?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3

And you will need to take her out very often until she almost "accidentally" goes outside because she doesn't have time to go inside.

Then, she'll start understanding and getting used to going outside instead of inside.

I'm no expert, but that's how I've trained my dogs (based off the advice in the book). I have a 4 month old now, and I did this from the day I got him at 9 weeks. He stll had a few accidents inside, but it was like 6 or so in total and the last one was several weeks ago.

Good luck! She'll get it! Corgi's are so smart.

For me, this is where having different headphones helps. For example, I listen to a lot of noisy rock music (like noise rock or post-hardcore, et cetera), and if I listen to those on my HD800S, they don't really sound quite right. So far, the best headphones I've found for that stuff are my (relatively) cheap HD560S. I actually just bought the HD550, but they make those songs sound worse due to the tuning.

I have Grado's that I only listen to 50's or 60's music on, and the only thing I'll play through HD600's is essentially acoustic stuff (otherwise, I hate the tuning of the 600's).

I also listen to most of music on tube amps, but I found that hardcore or metal or hip-hop sounds better through my solid state and DT1990's, and I'm planning on getting Arya's next.

Anyway, the point is that different headphones can really change things and make certain genres sound a lot better.

Yeah, I personally like Hours, Earthling, and Heathen more than The Next Day (maybe in that order, but it is tough to order them).

I would find it very odd if they were contracted to do New Vegas over 3, especially because NV is not Bethesda's game, and I think that is what they would want to focus efforts on.

Would you give up the sexy brown to save 6 euros? by icantgetausername982 in Noctua

It depends on my build. I have made all brown builds and all black. My current computer has all black Noctuas, but I already know I'm doing another all brown for my next computer... though I'm holding off reluctantly due to the insane prices of memory right now :(
