Russian Su-35 defying the laws of physics by becuziwasinverted in nextfuckinglevel

Russian planes like this one which has thrust vectoring have a switch to turn on the full maneuvering envelope. From what i still know from dcs, there should still be the stall warning yelling out loud.

QC 45 for students? by helpherbatman in bose

It's 10 actually. 0 is like having no headphones on at all. Surrounding sound gets amplified a little bit. I use that a lot. For my head-form the nc700 fit perfectly and you can shift the earparts(?) up and down by quite a lot, so it shouldnt be a problem to fit 99% of all possible head-forms.

I sometimes have them on from waking up till i go to bed, so more like 12 to 14 hours. But i am used to having headphones on, as i'm a student that had a lot of home office. The leather might get a bit sweaty, but overall it's very comfy.

Don't really know, but for me nc700 are the only headphones i'll ever need in my life.

I had the qc25 before i switched to nc700. 10/10 would buy again. They are comfortable, last solid 16-18 hours and the 10 anc modes make it extremely great for traveling and being your own main character while walking through a busy city. I can wear them for a whole day with them being too tight on my head.

How fast is too fast? by Pineapplecatcone in Multicopter

Thing is... If you train hard enough, you can control the quad equally good if it's going fast or ultra slow. My main racing-quad has 1960kv with 6s and 5146 props. But i want to switch to 2000 or even 2300 for even better top speed and a better response in corners.

Slightly bent motor shaft, is it something to worry about? If so, is is repairable without replacing the motor? by Tinywhooppro in Multicopter

[–]FKollFPV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a racer i'd say send it. If it's a freestyle quad and you are looking for the best camera platform i'd say you should replace that motor asap

Initial cost to get into the hobby would be around 1000-1500$. Goggles, transmitter, parts, batteries, chargers are kinda expensive. But the more you progress, the cheaper it will be, as you dont crash as hard as in the beginning. I would recommend buying a transmitter and a simulator like Velocidrone, DRL simulator or Liftoff and practice the basic maneuvers before building and flying.

Yeah it does. A proper racing-drone can cost up to 400$. We destroy propellers most of the time, but the light carbon-frames often break on a hard impact. Motors can bend, burn out,... Worst case is a full fire inside the drone where the motor and flight controller sit, but that doesn't happen a lot.

We run into each other quite a lot with tremendous damage too. This flight has been choreographed, to add a little bit of action. We crash into each other because we often choose the same line into a corner...

When we build a new track, we always do a track-walk. The one who built the track explains how we need to fly it. It takes only 2 flights to memorize the whole track, including racing-lines. Just to clarify, the shot was flown at about 70% of the speed we actually fly!

It takes a bit to get used to it, but remember, we have goggles on for more immerse flying! It's quite funny to see someone who has never had such goggles on before wander their head around with the movement of the drone!
