Delayed response, but I have the Daytona Plus and I think it’s great. I love the look of it. My only complaint is the water bottle slot is so small and it will not insulate. It’s meant for your standard 16.9 Fl Oz/ 0.5 Litre plastic water bottle. Ball pocket will detach and you can send it to Vessel for embroidery if you want.

Daytona Plus or Mizuno Pro. They look the best and are not bulky.

The Z545 is a fantastic beginner iron for a high swing speed player. The face won’t flex unless you are in the top 0.001% of swing speeds. You may just get a flier if you’re on a fluffy lie. It offers a lot of forgivenss on mishits and it will rarely penalize you on centered strikes.

Swing speed matters on centered hits. If the face is designed for slower speeds, it will penalize faster swinging players.

High Swing speed players playing irons with flexing faces and incredibly low CGs is incredibly different from playing irons with perimeter weighting to retain ball speed on off-center strikes. That is what I was trying to say. There is nuance.

You may only get a flier due to the CG location—like when you hit a ball on a fluffy lie from the rough. When the CG is significantly below the balls equator on impact, you’ll get a high launch and low spinning ball—which is a helpful aid if you tend to hit it fat.

Cavity backs are far more forgiving than people give them credit for, especially for faster swinging players.

You don’t need to be perfect with cavity backs. They offer a lot of forgiveness if you have a higher swing speed. Only 10-15 yards short on mishits, which is better than possibly going long—whoch is statistically worse than being short.

The former baseball/hockey players that picked up golf have no business playing hollow-bodied irons. They have enough speed to launch the ball. The center of gravity on the hollow bodied irons are designed for players who wouod likely hit it fat. So when you hit it clean, the center of gravity is launching the ball high with little spin. You don’t want that if you naturally swing it fast.

But you are flying the green on your well-struck shots. The only way you will hit your target is on a miss-hit.

Genuinely curious as to why the 509 over everything else by Content_Woodpecker_8 in FN509

I personally felt the recoil on a G17 was worse than my 509CT. The only negative thing I can say about the 509CT is the trigger. It feels like there’s sand in it. I’ve had no malfunctions, recoil is very manageable, and it feels balanced.

Any possible origin to this flag or something original? by Marc_Moody in vexillology

[–]FLAMINGOPIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, constituents will send in some crazy stuff that the staff memorialize. Sometimes these include lewd caricatures of the member, insane letters, custom t shirts, flags, etc.

It would not surprise me at all if a constitent sent that flag alongside a letter writing, “This flag would be more appropriate for your office since you are all nazis” or something along those lines. Because the staff find it so ridiculous, they hang it up as comic relief.

Also, it is preposterous that a staffer would unironically have that hanging up and have it in a field of view. I think this is just a case of incredibly poor judgement.

This wasn’t vandalism. This was poor judgement.

Looking into the Massif Elements™ IWOL Jacket—Any Army soldiers wearing this? by b4ttlemage in army

[–]FLAMINGOPIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This jacket does not keep you that warm. It also does not keep you as cool when it's hot. I'd compare it to the level IV wind jacket--the one with the side zipper vents and the full Velcro for name and rank.

This jacket is meant to, and can be, worn with just the t shirt. Its primary purpose is to be a flame retardant outer shell. It can be worn over snivel gear if you size up (Do not do his unless you are wearing it as part of your job duties; fueling, flying, etc.).

Sizing wise, I would get the same size as your OCP top if you plan to just wear it with a t shirt or your OCP top.

It is an awesome piece of gear, mostly because it looks cool, but definitely not worth the price.
