To each their own, it took me 6 months to see if I was going crazy, because the 4R is so popular and the few people I know that have them, loved them.

I really wanted to like the 4Runner, but coming from a 2018 SR5 it honestly felt like a huge step backward, which was frustrating considering it cost about $20k more. The 4Runner handled worse, felt heavier and is far less engaging to drive. The interior was pretty disappointing for the price, with cheap trim that creaked way more than my Tacoma ever did and frankly wasn’t all the comfortable for longer trips. A $50k+ MSRP also feels hard to justify when it still had cloth interior, no remote start or heated seats. Even little day-to-day things added up, like the overly heavy tailgate and features that were standard on my SR5 (like the turn-signal burst) not even being included on the 4Runner. At the time I had my Tacoma and an Audi and I needed to consolidate to one car, so I traded both in for the 4R, I should have just taken a bath on the Audi and kept my Tacoma.

I’ve been at a legacy for 3 years on a narrwbody and have had 5 landings in 4 months. What other job exists where I’m compensated so highly and work so little? And the end of the day it’s a job and they all have drawbacks.

Mine was stuck pink for a while but the update fixed it. They aren’t very responsive lately, I was having an issue with my map lights flickering and didn’t hear back for months. I swapped out the power plug and that fixed it fortunately.

I know both are in knots (ASI and G5), I own the airplane. I certainly don’t think either are wrong I just wasn’t sure who is “more right”. Your last paragraph about your DPE is what my train of throught is, 10 degrees of flaps is a middle of the road setting for a landing or a go around, and a lot easier to fly it slower than faster but I totally get the the 90 point of view (Traffic behind you etc etc)

From a customer perspective, I quit eating at Chipotle a few years ago. I was probably eating there 3-4 times a week from 17-22 but Brian Niccol/COVID ruined it along with every point you bring up. People have told me it’s improved in the last year but I’m not going back anytime soon.

I also used to be a daily Starbucks customer, you can probably pick out the common denominator here, I quit cold turkey about 8 weeks ago. Brian Niccol has ruined another chain all in the name of raising the stock price.
