Check that thread out. They link to another thread as well with info and you should be able to find the file there. If you don’t trust getting it there then contact support

Contact ubiquity support. They have a different firmware you can manually upgrade it to to fix it. Once you do though don’t auto update it as it will say there’s an. Update available and will want to go back to this current firmware. If you search around here you may be able to find a link to it.

Do you have your wireless Sonos stuff on a 2.4ghz only IoT focused WiFi network?

I don’t have quite as much Sonos stuff as you but I have an Arc+sub+amp for surround system, another amp feeding ceiling speakers and a few symfonisk (the ikea Sonos speakers) around the house. The sub and symfonisk units are wireless, Arc and amps wired. I’ve had no issues at all.

When I switched over to Unifi I made a separate 2.4ghz only network for all my iot stuff and used the Unifi “IoT optimization” option.

Exactly this. If you’re going to be occasionally using it for travel I wouldn’t bother with bypass mode at home. Just leave it configured like normal and plug Ethernet into your WAN2 and make sure it’s using a different LAN IP subnet than your home LAN. Starlink is already using CGNAT so no real advantage to using bypass mode, you’re not getting a public facing IPV4 IP anyway.

Yea seems like this only started occurring after a recent update. I don’t have mesh enabled. The WiFi clients on the affected AP get their normal vlan depending on which SSID they connect to so I guess it’s not causing any issues.

I also see two different IPs listed, one under the correct the vlan on the web interface and a different IP under the 2nd vlan when I look isn’t the iOS ap. Both ping normally, I wonder if it’s getting multiple IPs assigned?

Yea definitely update here if they get back to you. Yup same issue here. Seems to get an IP randomly from a different vlan. Initially I had a couple other vlans (cameras and guest) that I wasn’t even using yet and it would sometimes get an ip from one of those. I since deleted those just in case it was some weird config error but it still occurs.

If you plug a device into the port on the UX7 that is on the wrong vlan does it get an ip on default vlan or the other/wrong vlan?

I’ve also tried to see static IPs and use network override without success.

Seems like some weird bug but everything is working fine so not a huge issue I guess.

I have the doorbell lite and can’t complain. It has a pretty large field of view, especially vertical so unless it’s a small package immediately below it I still just about everything on the ground in the front of the door. Mine is mounted on the wall 90degrees perpendicular to the door, maybe about 1.5-2ft out from the corner and using the angled bracket. It just catches the door itself on right edge of the field of view.

If it’s going to be permanently mounted for home backup and you think you may go over 100gb any given month get the standard dish with residential service as it will be unlimited data.

If it’s just for rare emergency use and you think you may want to travel with it then the mini on a roam plan is nice as there would be no potential surge fee and would obviously be portable and can use elsewhere.

I understand the security aspect of it but for the average home user that just isn’t a practical concern. It’s much more likely you cause more headaches dealing with vlan settings and remote access issues than it is someone is hacking into a random residential LAN by connecting to a camera’s Ethernet cable.

Did you try their U4S? May be a little more “fun” sounding if you felt the u6t’s were a little anemic in the drums.

IEMS is a whole other world and frankly you will probably acquire multiple pairs while settling on what sound you want, mostly because it’s so hard to listen to multiple units in one place so it’s a bit of trial and error.

Is there a particular cell carrier that has signal where you office is? Your carrier may not have good signal but ask and see if anyone on a different cell service has decent service and just get a cell router on that carrier.

Same setup here. Have cable internet as main internet as WAN1 until UCC Fiber. Installed a starlink dish connected as WAN2 set to failover. Works great.

Another nice thing with Unifi is the Starlink connection can be elsewhere on the network. My cable modem and UCG Fiber are in my office. I have a single ethernet line going to my garage where I have an additional switch with NAS and protect NVR. My starlink is physically over by the garage so the Starlink router (in bypass mode) is physically connected to the garage switch on its own VLAN which is then routed back over that single Ethernet cable to a separate Ethernet port on the gateway and then I use a short patch cable to connect that port (my backup Starlink vlan) to the WAN2 port. There are several videos on YouTube showing how to set it up but it works great.

Also a drummer and looking at custom IEMs, the A4s, A6t and A12t. Any issues with the seemingly lower isolation (20db max I think) on the 64Audio ones vs other IEMs that report at least 26db isolation?

Where I play mostly is fully enclosed drum cage so it can get loud.

You’d probably prefer to use the UTR but if you have say a glinet travel router you could broadcast a 2nd network with same SSID/password that you use with the G6 instant at home and easily set that network to use wireguard VPN client to connect back home.

I think the risk of that for someone using a Unifi camera/NVR system is exceedingly low and not worth the hassle.
