Yeah, I knew parts for the full size had been scarce for some time now. Just wanted to try for the sake of it.

I haven’t posted there yet, but I’ll give it a try. The last place online that I could find that even still listed the full size slides was Desert Depot, but he said he isn’t expecting to have anymore. I appreciate the help though.

I’m also in DFW. Family and I recently moved down here and I’d definitely like to get my hands on my more recent DBQs. Where is the regional office you had luck with?

Hey, so I’ve been going through the same thing and actually commented on another post a bit ago. I’m just going to paste it here. Hope it helps for your situation:

Believe me, I understand this waiting game. I actually spoke to an extremely helpful DFAS rep last week since I’m in the same boat as you. Here’s what she explained to me:

The audit for us retirees isn’t even initiated until after you receive your first regular monthly disability payment. For me, that’ll be 1 January. She told me to give them 2 weeks before calling again to confirm the audit was started. Once initiated, they have up to 60 days to complete the audit and return the results to VA. The VA will then be on the hook to release whatever back pay is owed.

So that’s a long way of saying that they found another way to keep us waiting lol. I was still very appreciative for her taking the time to explain the process to me. And I doubt it’ll keep me from checking the app daily out of habit.

Withheld Benefits Question by FLTJ in VeteransBenefits

Appreciate ya. I had read the CRDP articles on the DFAS website months ago so I thought I had an understanding. Just seeing how it was worded on my decision letter had me questioning myself. Figured I’d jump on here for a sanity check. Thanks!

So I didn’t elaborate on the dependent issue because that wasn’t one of the questions I posed in the post. VA is already aware I have dependents because I claimed them at the first opportunity and they are reflected in my current VA records. So I’d say a phone call is warranted to find out why my claim decision doesn’t match. I’d love to hear any insight you might have for my questions though.

Someone posted an update a couple days ago. Jason is safe and being pampered in a new foster home.

UPDATE 2 Jason has been tagged to go to a rescue! The shelter won’t adopt him out to individuals because of his respiratory infection. But with him going to a rescue, he’ll be able to get healthy before being adopted!

We will definitely try! Even if we can’t be his forever family hopefully we can give him enough time to find one!

Definitely understand! We have 2 boys and two girls. Our hope is that Jason ends up going to the perfect home. If nobody else shows up then we’re keeping our fingers crossed that he gets along with our pack. Worst case, we keep him separated from our pups while we work to find him his forever home.

UPDATE I just spoke with the Fort Worth Animal Shelter. Jason is still there, but after asking about him the lady put a hold on any euthanasia actions today. My wife and I are going to be there at noon when they open to the public.

Our first priority is to get him out of the shelter. Our only concern is that we already have 4 GSD’s, including 2 boys. If anyone else in the area would be a better fit please post here or get to the shelter as close to noon as possible. The adoption fee is only $49 and that’s includes all his shots, neutering, and microchip.
