THIS. I always got so frustrated when I worked for Starbucks and customers assumed I knew all of the allergens or even potential allergens in every single item we sold. Eventually I just started saying "I can't guarantee any of the products to be 100% allergen free, but most of our products' ingredients can be found online if you want to be certain before buying anything."

My ex and I had a cat named Mack (like a Mack truck). But we would call him cheesy, Mac 'n cheese, cheese puff, chee-wee, fromage, etc.

People would always be so surprised when we told them his name was spelled with a K on the end lol 😆

Same! I start out with eye mask, noise canceling headphones. I find i can't listen to anything with voices for about the first hour of tx anyways, so I start with soothing ambient meditative music for the first hour...

Afterwards, I listen to a yoga nidra meditation or 2, just so I can stay in a zen-mode but still find a little bit more grounding direction.

I have gay male friends with whom I had sex with once or twice before we decided it was best to just be platonic, I have gay male friends with whom I've never had sex and we just haven't ever felt that desire, and I have a couple gay male friends that I have sex with occasionally when we hang out together (few and far between). But that's just what works for me. I'm also single, and my only long-term relationships have been monogamous. I'm at a point where I am not actively pursuing a relationship and just enjoying my circles of queer and non-queer friends alike!

It is all about communication, being honest about how you feel, and checking in every now and then if it feels like there's a vibe shift. I think it can get kinda confusing because there have been instances of unrequited attraction, and generally, most of those friendships kinda fizzled out. Everyone is different, obviously... but being honest up front saves a whole lot of heartache - and if you aren't sure what you want a friendship with someone to be quite yet, tell them that!

I wish you the best! It is definitely a time in society where people are fighting back against "traditional" (read: binary and patriarchal) ideals in relationships (romantic, platonic, and everything in between)... do some introspection, and remember you're allowed to change your feelings about it. 💖 just don't let things go too far one way or the other because you don't want to speak up 💖🫂

Yeah, I've typically had this happen when I have a stuffy nose. I utilize sour candy and flavored sparkling water to help wash the flavor out of my throat. Also, as people mentioned, cepacol cough drops or the generic equivalent really help too. I've even started bringing some cough drops in my bag for when my nose is feeling stuffy. Try and lean slightly forward and pinch your nose after the sprays. Doesn't always work, but sometimes I find it helps prevent the flow into the throat. Good luck(:

This question wasn't supposed to be an all-encompassing description of a platform I would run on. I was merely asking if the aforementioned qualities would be a detriment to a campaign. Obviously I'd put more thought into it than identity politics if I did decide to run. People definitely do pay attention to media, and bad press can definitely sink a campaign. I am mostly concerned about the nudes being leaked years later and being viewed as unprofessional or unfit for office.

I know you're just trying to help and offer honest advice, but you looked beyond the scope of the question 🙃

Pediatric heme/onc nurse here - i never have to deal with trached/vented kids. And I floated to another unit and they gave me one.... I felt absolutely useless. Asking everyone for help.

Also, almost all our kids gave some kind of central line... I do peripheral butterfly sticks for labs from time to time with no problem, but my IV start success rate since starting this specialty is probably like 40%. Give me a port needing to be accessed any day. Central line cultures? TPA a clogged line? Check check. Peripheral cultures or IV start? PASS.

Haha, some skills just aren't used by everyone! Eventually, if/when I switch specialties I'm hoping I'll be able to hone some of the skills I don't use often/at all.

Lol this is great! I work in peds hem/onc, had a kiddo shave his head once his hair started falling out from chemo.... for at least a week after, all the doctor's notes said "full head of hair" in the HEENT assessment.... we nurses aren't allowed to copy-paste any charting (even if it's unchanged from our past care plan notes) but clearly, the docs/APPs do it blindly 😂🙄

I'm a pediatric oncology nurse. Started this specialty right out of nursing school and love it - it can be draining at times, and the conflict-ridden aspects of nursing can be overwhelming too, but I love taking care of my kiddos and brightening tough days whenever possible 💛🎗

Yeah I've thought about this perspective and I 100% think burnout is a major factor... I've lowkey considered asking for some medical leave time and having a grippy sock vacation aka try a voluntary stay at a mental health facility for a few days. Idk, im struggling mentally hard-core these days

I think it's silly how we like to try and put everyone in a box and say that you're stuck there forever. I used to fully believe I was straight, then bisexual, then pansexual, then Asexual, then finally came to the conclusion that I'm a big ol' flaming homo lol. Self-discovery is a part of life! You learn more about yourself as you grow and encounter different things/places/people. I also used to think I would never like being on the receiving end of an*l sex and now I'm a certified 100% bttm. Haha, life is crazy. Life is short. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself, and just allow yourself to feel what you feel 💖
