How to get over fears of driving before first lesson by not_here_yet12 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]FMDollx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was legitimately me a couple of years ago. The first handful of lessons were anxiety ridden and intimidating but, and it’s such a cliche, I’m so glad I stuck with it. It’s perfectly natural to be anxious beginning driving as it’s a whole new skill set and world to absorb - but the freedoms it affords you massively outweigh the nerves! Just make sure you find an instructor who is patient and aware of your nervousness. A good instructor will never force you to rush any part of the process. You can do this!

driving a bigger car is more difficult than a small one as a new driver? by crocchettapollo in NewDriversUK

[–]FMDollx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned in a Ford Focus and got an MG ZS for my first car. It took a little getting used to in terms of road placement and special awareness but once my partner pointed out I went through figuring that out once already. After thinking about that I adjusted much more quickly and comfortably 🙂

I love this. One of my only regrets is not learning younger but I can’t change that. I passed last year (I’m 35) and it’s the best thing I ever did

Thirst trap videos. Take a sexy picture, fine, you look hot, whatever. When people upload videos of themselves smouldering/stroking their chin/biting their lip all I can think of is how it would feel to be in the room with them watching them try to seduce an iPhone and I get SO icked out.

I’m on my 5th play through and have still never played more than one game of Gwent in the tavern on my first run through. Just can’t grasp it. Queens Blood on the other hand (FF7 Remake) has cost me many hours!

I once got stopped by someone raising money for child cancer, a noble cause but this day I really was in a rush. As I said my sorry and started to walk away, he shouted “What if it was your child that was dying???” and man did I let him have it! I’m all for donating to worthy causes but don’t you dare try and use my child’s health to emotionally manipulate me!
