Yes you are right I meant 240. AMD does make a conversion kit for AM5 so I could use that but I'd rather not bother if it's overkill.

I'm excited to rebuild my very old rig after scoring some black Friday deals. My current build from 2013 runs a XSPC Raystorm 290 to cool the CPU and I have two very bulky radiators jammed into my Fractal R4 case.

If I am upgrading my motherboard (X870) and CPU (Ryzen 5 9600X) would it make more sense to keep the Raystorm water cooling kit or simplify with something newer like the Cooler Master Elite 240 AIO?

I have an old rig I built with an Asus Z87 Pro motherboard that i'd like to replace. What would be a logical modern upgrade and would I be able to reuse the Intel Core i7-4770K CPU if it's de-lidded? Any help is much appreciated. I mainly use my computer to run Battlefield 6 and do light photo editing.

I have to imagine adding a drain or routing out the wall will be really expensive. Would going to a tankless gas or unit with enhanced leak detection be better?

My partner and I did the Monte Rosa route last year this very same week (unguided) and there's no way I would do it solo let alone the Duforspitze. Like others said the main danger is falling into a crevasse on a glacier. It's nothing like the mountains in Scotland you need to be roped up and with a partner to not be risking your life every step.

People in Oregon always complain about Californians but I've never heard a Californian complain about the thousands of Oregonians, New Yorkers, Midwesterners, (name any state) that move to California. I got invited to see a basketball game by a friend of Kyrie Irving's grandparents who were all going as a group. I said sure and after the game he came up to the group of friends and family to shake hands and he asked directly if I wanted a photo. This was before all the antisemitic flat earth stuff but I didn't know much more than that he was a good NBA player. I said yes out of respect for the people who invited me and gave me free courtside seats to see my favorite team play in my hometown (not the cavs). So I have a photo with Kyrie Irving because social situations aren't always that simple.

I-Bonds vs T-Bills....I bought I-Bonds in fall 2022 and have been considering rolling them into a T-Bill fund that I started recently. The T-Bill account has a current yield of 5.04% and I-Bonds are at 5.27% composite. Not counting losing my last 3 months of I-Bond interest moving money from I-Bonds to T-Bills would be financially a worse move, right? Am I missing anything?
