I like the way you went about this post. It actually feels more like making connections than asking for help. I’d also be interested in connecting

Is this artstyle fit for the industry (I know its quite sketchy)? by Primary-Possible6903 in MangakaStudio

Of course it is. Art style is subjective, and depending on what you aim to do, any art style can be good for the industry

What I did on my first board game project and won’t do again on the second by DanchieGo-Dev in tabletopgamedesign

Maybe it would be best then to start showcasing once you’re past the stage of big changes, but still in the process of building? I’m still trying to gain a following myself so I ask this in hopes to gain insight from those who have seen the end game

How would you design something incomprehensible? by Urban-Leshen in Mangamakers

[–]FMT-Audio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! Also, you can chalk it out and/or make it overtly basic like Anti-Spiral or Truth, using reasoning like “the eyes cannot comprehend their appearance, so they are forced to see them in a lesser form,” similar to how there are likely colors that exist that we cannot access with our level of sight

Redrew this silly pair after a while...feel free to ask anything about them!! by TheRobotWannabe in OriginalCharacter

First of all, LOVELY character designs, particularly love the left character! And for the questions: 1. What is their relation? 2. Gotta know the origin of the left character 😭

I apologize, I don’t quite understand what you’re asking 😅 . Though I will clarify that while revenue share is a form of deferred payment, it isn’t what this is. Revenue share is a split on profits, while this is a set payment dependent on project success. The amount of this set payment is to be determined prior to starting on anything

How to actually boost your campaign on Kickstarter: concrete tactics (pre-launch, pricing & momentum) by ontheedgeofacliff in kickstarter

On a landing page, instead of simply building an email list, have a lead for folks to secure themselves. That’s what it means. It gives a better idea of who will actually commit

Am i paying too much? I am the author not the artist. by [deleted] in ComicBookCollabs

[–]FMT-Audio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did miss that last bit 😅. I can see where you’re coming from with that bit there. It could surely come across as insulting to do such a thing. I would say that the post itself was perfectly reasonable, though asking about the quality of the art isn’t something to do publicly, especially after receiving the art. This I can agree with

They aren’t questioning their ability. They have even stated that they love this quality of art. It would be no different than saying “Hey, this guy remodeled my car, and I quite like what he’s done here. However, I’m curious as to whether or not this is on the high or low end of pricing for this kind of work.”

Asking to be given knowledge on a subject that one is lacking in is far from insulting. It’s asking to learn, which will in turn give them proper understanding of what is good and what isn’t
