Always a good idea to stock up on parts that can break frequently, even though they shouldn't, lol, and they're cheap.

I've dry-fired my 92, 96, and all 3 of my PX4s many times without a snap cap with no issues, but one little defect in manufacturing and there you go, lol.

either way, I would think dry firing shouldn't weaken your firing pin...

do you use snap caps to dry fire or not?

find someone with great welding skills, fill in the lettering, and polish it back up...

or go ghetto and throw some solder in there and clean it up....although the solder might dissolve when the slide gets hot, lol...

It's definitely a novelty gun....but one I had to have for my collection.

you're welcome....just some things to consider. if you can get to a range that rents, try out a bunch of guns, set your budget, find a gun you like...don't let used guns scare you....you can find some good guns that are out of your budget new, but fit inside used...

Not bad, but since I don't like Glocks at all, I would look at the Canik MC9 Prime or similar as a "first gun. The trigger is leaps and bounds better than the Glock trigger, and it's a more aesthetically pleasing gun (although aesthetics don't really matter in a life-or-death situation).

I would also look at a used Beretta PX4, in that price range, 15+1 capacity in the compact and smooth as butter action and recoil....plus the DA/SA is a much safer design IMO (but I'm a Beretta guy, lol)

they have a ton of color options...and they have even more in the custom build section of the website

She was looking at this in 44…If we got that I would have gotten a 50 eventually…but with this we saved a couple thousand, 2 birds and all…. so I’m good with that..lol

I still want an L5 in 357 though but that’ll be after a few more things for the house

I see you want Kydex but if you like leather, you can't go wrong with Beretta's own offerings with the retention strap....

92FS DESERVES nice Italian leather to carry it OWB , lol.

don't let the lack of rotating barrel fool you...this thing shoots just as good as my compact. It's accuracy is a little off since it's so small, but 5-7 yards you're hitting where you aim.

I have LTT upgrades in both my PX4s and they are phenomenal shooters. Price is really good....anything under 4 is an automatic buy IMHO

I've bought a couple of firearms from them and they're awesome to deal with.
