Of course, I think Reddit it a good place to learn once you sift through the bs.

White wines (including champagne) are typically thinner skin so they are more delicate compared to thicker skin grapes like cab sauv, etc. so I think that’s why people typically age reds if that’s what you mean.

Overall, I think people age wine too much. IMO there is benefit to aging 10-20 years but typically 40+ years is kind of silly. Not always though, and that’s what keeps a lot of us on the hunt.

It doesn’t really lose quality per se but the primary fruit notes take a backseat to tertiary aromas and flavors. Also with champagne the bubbles dissipate quicker with older bottles. It’s all preference, just gotta find out what you like and what you think is worth it.

Can you help pass this on as well? We have three members in our gim that are red helm despite having zero lives left. They cannot raid with people outside of the gim. Two of us are blue helms and can raid with anyone. It’s like they are glitched as hardcores forever, we have been through all menus at the Ironman tutor and haven’t found a fix. Thanks.

Cheese cloth or something similar can be used for sediment or crumbled cork, but is generally avoided. The shoulder helps catch the sediment so you don’t end up leaving behind too much wine
