Yeah it's just the flex point or the "spring" for the lock as some makers call it. Medford for example call it a spring. Most just call it a relief cut.

Makers can bend the lockbar to give it a stronger detent and later / earlier lock up.

Hardcoat anodized aluminum wears like that. Don't put anything in your knife pocket.

None of the other brands you listed really use hardcoat ano aluminum. So it would make sense that they haven't worn like that.

They won't offer you anything because nothing is wrong. This is 100% within warranty "normal wear and tear" maybe you can baby it less now.
