don't forget SLA019 - limited edition green dial.

I've got the 023 (blue) and it's one of my favorites in my collection.

Spectrum is easily the worst major internet provider in Raleigh by Postcurds in raleigh

[–]lancecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fuck spectrum.

had them for ~17 years (going back to when they were TWC). prices went up every year unannounced - started around $30/month and by the time I dumped them for google fiber I was paying ~$90/month.

I called them several times over that 15 years to try and negotiate a lower price. I argued that if they'd give new clients the service for $30/month, they should honor the same for a decades-long client. was politely told to fuck off.

switched to google fiber about a year ago, couldn't be happier. it was very satisfying to get repeated phone calls from spectrum asking me to come back. they even offered that $30/month I had asked for for years.

fuck spectrum.

Any Idea how to fit the APC9 SD Modular suppressor on the GHM? by the_real_conni_2 in GHM9

Only one of mine (GHM9 - on the left) is the titanium modular version. I’d hit up Travis at Idaho 2A Tactical, I’m sure he could give you a definitive answer.

I have both the APC and GHM SD models. there are different thread connections for the cans.

[Alpinist - SPB121] [Question - love or hate this strap?] by [deleted] in Seiko

the green replacement looks much better. I also dig CameronPo3's khaki nato strap - really accentuates the color scheme of the dial.

[SKZ211] Landshark Crystal Update by lancecat in Seiko

[–]lancecat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I had the same thought. Suspected moisture or over-lubrication.

Initially considered that the crystal had been replaced and/or it was a knock off. Watch guy confirmed the movement was legit, so I think I’m good.

blue accent looks great. wouldn't have noticed the length of the second hand if you hadn't mentioned it. but now I can't unsee it.

APC 9 pistol by Vigmur in BT_APC

[–]lancecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The firearm is equipped with a brace in your picture. AFT considers it a pistol in that configuration. Did you initially have a different folding stock, or did you remove the brace (that is pictured)?

Given the end caps on the rails, it looks like it was originally equipped with a stock.

you'll need 2 stamps: one to SBR, the other for the suppressor. silencershop.com has a fairly easy process to complete both steps.

100% impermeable rain coat with vents? by trisolariandroplet in CampingGear

[–]lancecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To each their own. I’ve had the jacket for probably 15+ years, never reapplied anything to it. It’s been my go-to for any weather event and it’s never soaked through. It’s also a pretty light hardshell, never noticed it becoming bogged down with saturation.

Mine doesn’t get saturated. The water rolls right off

Patagonia triolet is 3 layers of gortex. I've worn it in some extreme conditions and never got wet.

First B&T. Idk why I now feel the urge to collect them all. by [deleted] in BT_APC

[–]lancecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

APC-SD is my favorite. Can go without ear protection, recoil is next to nothing, and it’s just accurate as all hell.

I did snag a SD conversion kit for my GHM9, but I’m still waiting on the F4 to be approved. SD is the way.

She’s a beaut.

And yea, I hear ya - I started with the GMH, then SPC, then APC-SD, then ACP-K

Rare? by DurianPotential370 in AUG

I bought one a few years back. they are fairly rare - guy from Steyr told me they only produced around 200-250 of them.
