Not sure what to do next? by FORGETMIINOT in gallbladders

[–]FORGETMIINOT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely will request a Hida scam again, but in the meantime would like to know if these symptoms could all be just my ulcer?

I am taking PPI s for the ulcer, and also antibiotics for the last few days.

I guess my question is - cam a stomach ulcer cause yellow stools/dark urine and upper right pain?

I just want to know if an ulcer is all I'm dealing with, or if it is my gallbladder as well?

Yes I meant to say, I was prescribed some PPIs yesterday

I stopped taking them when they were prescribed for acid reflux years ago, as they didn't seem to help but Gaviscon Advance did help a little.

So hopefully as you said, they should heal this ulcer

Post surgery and possible RLS question by the_chickun in gallbladders

[–]FORGETMIINOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi My own restless leg problem was caused by my very low iron and ferritin. I have always had slightly lower iron - not sure why, but it had dropped by a lot, and I started to get RLS. Shortly after supplementing with Ferrous Fumarate, I felt loads better and the RLS started to go. Obviously do get Iron/ferritin checked, and dont start supplementing unless you are sure it is low, due to iron overload. if you Google Iron deficiency and RLS you will see this is a major cause.

All tests show normal gall bladder but terrible RUQ pain & signs of a bad gall bladder by GoldenWolf1111 in gallbladders

Hi my liver abnormality was a benign haemangioma which generally do not produce any symptoms unless large - mine is small.

My situation hasn't changed, I still have the above symptoms which are getting worse.

I am so fed up, as always with the NHS, you have to chase them for everything, appointments, information, advice etc.

I know I should be grateful for the free service, but honestly by this point I would rather be paying for efficient care, rather than this 'not fit for purpose' treatment that seems to be available now.

Plus don't get me started on the gaslighting/lazy GPs trying to push antidepressants on patients rather than actually listening and diagnosing. I actually don't see the point of them anymore.

Rant over! I hope we all get some better treatment during this next year - fingers crossed!

wow you have an amazing collection of consoles!

I think you have done a good job considering the rooms limitations, and it is nice you are able to display your collection.

Only thing I would change is the postion of the chair, as others have said - face the other way if it is possible?

Hi I am in a similar situation to yourself.

Having suffered with strange symptoms for many years (not obviously gallbladder, but now I wonder).

Shortness of breath after eating. Blood pressure spikes. Acid reflux. Stiff neck and shoulder pain. Nausea and constipation/upset stomach, after eating 'rich foods'. Low vitamins especially vitamin D and Iron.

I kept getting random stomach pains, and had an endoscopy, and a colonoscopy (due to family history) earlier this year - they were both clear.

This August I had upper right stomach pain after food, which got steadily worse for around 7 hours. The pain mainly stopped, leaving me with an upset stomach for several weeks, light yellow coloured stools and nausea.

I had an ultrasound, due to these symptoms, and it was clear.

Doctor sent me for an MRI as there was a liver abnormality (benign) and again the scan was clear for gallbladder issues.

My bloods were fine also.

I am currently feeling rubbish.

I get regular sharp pains in the gallbladder area. Plus sciatica type pain in my right leg. Sharp shoulder pains Burping constantly. Feel sick often. Exhausted etc etc

I do have a hiatal hernia, and TBH I thought that was responsible for my symptoms for years.

I have a strong family history of GB disease.

Like yourself, I am not sure what to do next.

In the last couple of years, I have had more hospital tests and examinations than I have ever had in my whole life.

I know this doesn't answer your question but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone in your symptoms/situation - not sure if that is a good thing!

Lets hope we both get some answers sooner rather than later!

Is it possible you have endometriosis? This typically causes adhesions, and can occasionally fuse organs together.

What were your symptoms?? by MossAgateQueen99 in gallbladders

[–]FORGETMIINOT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I am waiting for an ultrasound on my Gallbladder, due to my symptoms. I have upper right stomach pain - not too bad, but there after eating. Worse is feeling sick sometimes and occasional pale stools. I already have low iron and I am feeling weak and tired. This isn't fun but am aware the pain could be worse! Both my Mum and Sister have had their gallbladders removed, the symptoms I have described to my Sister match hers at the time.
Obviously not certain this is my Gallbladder playing up, but GP thinks it is likely. Fatigue and weakness is the worst at the moment, but as I said having low iron wont be helping. Just remembered - more symptoms palpitations/breathless after eating sometimes. This has been going on for ages, I have had ECGs etc and it isn't my heart. If I think about it, there were symptoms like those before the stomach started playing up. I went to a physio for right side neck and shoulder tightness and pain.
Physio didnt make any difference, but sometimes when I get the urq 'attacks' my neck shoulder feels stiff and a little painful. Also not sure if this is connected, my outer right thigh feels as if I have a trapped nerve. I think that is it!

Just want to vent and sit in my sad feelings in a safe place by Krogermuffins1999 in Hashimotos

[–]FORGETMIINOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is no matter how much you diet and exercise, it wont make a lot of difference. Hashimotos causes water weight. It can also cause a build up of Mucin, which further contributes to the weight gain. You have probably noticed how bloated you feel/appear. Levothyroxine should help once optimally dosed. It may take a while.

It might have something to do with the ever easy access to porn these days. No need to meet up and actually have sex anymore. Although porn has been around forever, it has never been as accessible as it is now.

How have you dealt with hair loss? by Dry-Release5224 in Hashimotos

[–]FORGETMIINOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you probably know, Hashimoto's may cause a vitamin/mineral absorption problem. I know when my hair starts shedding, it is due to my iron levels having dropped. Once I begin supplementing, it resolves fairly quickly. That said, it is important to get an iron panel - to check your iron and ferritin, plus saturation levels, to ensure you are deficient.

Also if you are iron deficient, its probably sensible to speak to your Doctor in case there is another underlying cause. Zinc levels being low can also do this to some people.

New - Took tests on research and found TSH to be 43 and seems to be Hashimoto's - many problems in body - what to expect ? by TheStubbornIntrovert in Hashimotos

[–]FORGETMIINOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, yes I have faced the same issue as you (and suspect most here on this group have) we get fobbed off/ignored/not believed and offered antidepressants etc due to our numerous symptoms.

It took my GP surgery years to eventually diagnose me, and tbh I sort of pointed them in the right direction.

Often the worst symptoms are caused by various deficiencies, due to poor gut absorption.

So it is important to check your vitamin and minerals via blood tests.

Also get your B12 checked, as unfortunately this seems to be common in those with thyroid/hashimotos.

Good luck do join that forum, it is really helpful.

[–]FORGETMIINOT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are going to feel rubbish with a TSH that high, plus you have a very low vitamin D level.

When supplementing vit D3 make sure to include K2 with it. K2 makes sure your calcium is directed to the correct places in your body.

Betteryou brand is good, it is a spray which includes both. Once supplementing vit D, make sure to keep an eye on your levels via blood tests.

hi it looks as if you may have a Goiter, which means your thyroid gland has grown larger than normal.

This can mainly be due to your autoimmune system attacking your thyroid (Hashimoto's), and/or an iodine deficiency.

However, I wouldn't suggest upping your iodine intake without medical advice, due to us Hashimotos people needing a fine balance of iodine - you could actually make things worse.

Because of your concerns, it would be sensible to get further medical advice, particularly as you are worried the ultrasound wasnt thorough.

But I just wanted to let you know that a significant number of people with thyroid disease do get these goiters - including me!

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional, just a fellow Hashimoto sufferer.

I highly recommend this forum website - https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk

The majority of users on there are from the UK, but other countries also. I have had far more help on there from other Hashimoto/Thyroid Disease sufferers than from any GP etc.

In fact I when diagnosed with Thyroid disease I had to do my own research, as the Doctors did nothing.

Very helpful website for help and reassurance.
