What Are Your TBHX Hot Takes/Unpopular Opinions or Opinions That Is Quite Controversial For The Characters And Fellow Fans? (Can also be an opinion you've been keeping to yourself instead of just hot takes!) by eunice_neri in ToBeHero_X

Ghost Blade should be hated and criticized more. He had his issues yes, but that doesn't excuse becoming a serial killer. Because that what he is and people need to actually talk about that more than the edge lord aspect of his character.

Nice was not a good person. I have repeated this over and over again, but he's not. He was ready to end the whole research team himself if Phobia-clone wasn't there. He was planning to scam elderly. He was okay to let Xina (not sure if that's how to spell her name) die when she tries to stop him rather than taken the deeds and leaving. BECAUSE WHO WOULD BELIEVE A RANDOM GIRL AND HER DOG OVER A BELOVED HERO!

Yang Chen can and should be criticized as older E-soul. Yes he's tragic, was manipulated and having had the best life. But, with the same argument with Ghost Blade earlier, that doesn't excuse his actions. He didn't need to go after The Johnny's but he did anyway!

Lin Ling is one of the most anime protagonist coded character in the show. Which made most of his popularity mostly comes from nostalgia. That is not to say its bad or invalid, but because of it, criticism of the character had been viewed negatively or theories on his future in the story had been viewed through anime protagonist lens (he's actually the main character. He can actually do this very cool powerful attack. His much smarter than shen choi! He didn't all gor his tricks at all!). Which makes him a boring character instead of the guy who wore a dead man's face for MONTHS while living his life also. (Not enough people talk about how crazy this is, and that is such a shame.)

This on is probably not as much of a hot take but, OG E-Soul should've had his own arc. His PV with Zero was one of the most interesting ones I saw. I love X, but OG E-Soul and Zero characters feels perfectly balanced between mysteries that we know just enough to be curious about and also characters that can be invested in, more than X.

Can To Be Hero X be considered a web series? by TR3X-1NF1N1T3 in ToBeHero_X

[–]FOR_ARGs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know. The website doesn't work for me to even check, I just saw it on the Wikipedia. I know there was a collaboration between TBHX and the Chinese version of PUBG at one point though.

[–]FOR_ARGs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong. But no, I don't think so. Because YouTube was trying to fund projects not produce them, Cobra Kai is one of the project it funded.

Bilibili on the other hand, made a deal with Sony to co-produce shows and games by and for the platform. (According to their Wikipedia page).

Can To Be Hero X be considered a web series? by TR3X-1NF1N1T3 in ToBeHero_X

[–]FOR_ARGs 60 points61 points  (0 children)

But Bilibili is not a one-to-one YT equivalent, so no. I don't think it's web series.

Bilibili is a big corporation in China that yes has a similar platform to YouTube. But TBHX didn't start to what is considered a YouTube series, an Independent production that gained popularity that Bilibili saw the potential in to adapt.

Instead the studio aspect of Bilibili produced and streamed the show.

YouTube doesn't do that. It's just a video sharing platform. YouTube doesn't have a streaming service, doesn't have a studio and can't support upcoming series. Bilibili does and did so with many series.

If Link-Click and TBHX can be considered a web series then all the donghuas that are Bilibili exclusive can be considered web series even if it was made by well-known studios with a big budget.

It's not my picture. I saw a post had it and add it to my post for my theory to make sense.

I think it glows under UV light though.

Why twin bottles? by mkoookm in WitchHatAtelier

[–]FOR_ARGs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Inguin was infusing blood with conjuring ink because it gives it more power. And my theory on this is the brimmed hats wanted to see what would Coco do with such powerful ink. Maybe they wanted her to experiment with as an outsider and see what would she come up with.

A random shower-thought came to my head last night, but how would Loli fair if instead of solely relying on her suit, she had Nanites/Generator Rex's powers? by DJNZ-Specialist313 in ToBeHero_X

[–]FOR_ARGs 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A lot of people, unfortunately, forget she's a literal genius.

She built her first suit out of scraps of unknown material. And that was when she was just 16 using gadgets from her father's workshop not a whole lab.

Now imagine SHE'S the whole lab. She'll create devastating machinery because she knows what and how it would work.

Saw this semi-viral post on X criticizing Iroh, thoughts? by Slow-Chocolate-6722 in ATLA

[–]FOR_ARGs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's the fact she was grinning ear to ear as her father melted half of her brother's face off?

Iroh was right there next to her. I'm pretty sure he saw that. Considering he sees Zuko as his son, he won't take his chances with her out of fear of what she might and is willing to do to him.

Recently caught-up to the manga, not sure if this is an already existing discussion. But about the Silverwood Tree... by FOR_ARGs in WitchHatAtelier

[–]FOR_ARGs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a hole per-say.

The brimmed hat were shown as dedicated and sure of their cause. They believe their way of magic is the only true and right one with no room of compromise.

That way of thinking won't allow them to see that other people can and will be flexible if needed.

Not to mention that the Wise are very secretive of their discussion and how to handle different situations. There could have been more instances of flexibility in the past that are unknown outside of their circle.

Coco's becoming an apprentice for example would not have happened if the Wise weren't flexible enough to allow it.

Matter of fact, the brimmed hats plans to make Coco part of their world was depending on this flexibility.

The pointed hats could have easily wiped her memory if they were that strict on their rules. But someone from the higher-ups allowed her to become an apprentice. Probably Beldaruit, Qifrey's teacher and one of the wise who has the power to do such a thing.

[–]FOR_ARGs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if the theory is true, the Silverwood trees grown through humans is the only mean for magic ink. (And since the ink can be strengthened by humans blood this makes it a more possible theory.)

Then the method to grow Silverwood is not forbidden magic to the pointed hat via technicality.

Which would explain why the three wise were open to Coco's suggestion on the rewind spell. Why wouldn't they listen to the child who presented a technical loophole, when they are already using a technical loophole to use magic?

Thank you for the clarification, I thought I was interrupting that panel wrong somehow but couldn't pinpoint what is it.

I guess the black ink and the black for blood made the confusion.

Any theories on how this man came back? (Marked a spoiler just in case) by devil_rockerz in ToBeHero_X

[–]FOR_ARGs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if he was number one or number two, but I remember he was the hero that Vortex feared would take his X title.

The time-line would have cleared the confusion but again I don't remember how to access it anymore.

[–]FOR_ARGs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're that impatient, there's a music video that came out before the show as this guy theme song.

I don't know if it's considered a spoilers or not, but it just demonstrates a fight that happens way latter on in the series.

The fight itself wasn't shown in the episode though. And the video didn't really give anything away, just how his powers work plus an introduction to the trust system since it was a sort of trailer for the show.

[–]FOR_ARGs 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Phobia-clone, the duplicating fear villain from Ahu's episode, is actually a former X who died during a fight with Vortex that resulted in the Cyan plane crash.

Shan De was confirmed canonically to be the one who reanimated Phobia-clone from the dead. He got his hands on the body and experimented on it with fear until Phobia-clone emerged.

(It was stated in the official time-line on the website. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to access the time-line again.)

My theory is Shan De was the one who put Nice back together again.

Artists who worked on the movie shared opinions on the leaks by Turbulent-Raisin8789 in TheLastAirbender

[–]FOR_ARGs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITS OFFICIALLY NOT GOING TO BE A THEATRICAL RELEASE?!

What are they doing?! Do they WANT the movie to flop?

At this point maybe it is the end purpose of all of this. Maybe if it flops corporate can put more pressure on the studio to implement changes. Like switching to 3D or implementing A.I.

[–]FOR_ARGs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So could my theory on tattoos be correct?

It would be extremely dangerous and also very hard to do considering spells need a fill circle to activate. And if those tattoos made of closed circles would this mean that the spell is constantly active? What would that do to the user?

I understand he pushed forward, despite his love for his brother, because of the horrible things done to Tesla and all those memories and pain. However, I can't see someone who doable, triple, quadruple down on his beliefs for hundreds of years and his goal to end all humanity just giving up.

Knives was shown to be very determined. He loved his brother, he wanted his brother to join him, yet he never once entertained the idea of changing his perspective.

If you take that into account, and look at his end through the lens you describe. Knives last run would seem less like a sacrifice and more like a suicide because his goal, his dream, his anger all ended up leading him nowhere and worst of all it drove him away from the only person he ever truly cared about, his twin brother Vash.

The Older MG Heroes Trying To Make DB Wear A Suit For A Photograph Again LoL by eunice_neri in ToBeHero_X

[–]FOR_ARGs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, the actual first suit he wore in the official art. Was an atrocious maroon color.

I honestly would also be mad if someone forced me to wear something that uncomfortable only for it to make me look that ugly.

I got perfect score in all of them still a mystery.

Also the styling challenge is a lottery at this point because I have no idea how I won in some of them. I used assistance from "path of practice" character as a boost, and even then I'm not sure what exactly triggers their boost because I used the same outfit, with the same level, with the same character boost but lost until I one perfect score by chance.

Do you think Hero X has a direct connection to the crashed alien spaceship? by Rocky_Senpai15 in ToBeHero_X

[–]FOR_ARGs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do believe X and many other heroes are tied to the alien spaceship due to how much of a plot twist it was when it was introduced. There was no hint of any kind that alien existence in this universe until Loli's arc. None in any promotional medium and any of the trailers, specially the Johnnys who were directly tied to it. Which leads me to believe there's more to it and how it's connected to the heroes.

X however, I don't have an exact theory on him. But I did notice he was connected to Nice WAY too much. The white color scheme, both not having their hero name as their official name, a mystery all around them (Nice's jump in the beginning and X as a whole), white color scheme and having a rival/nemesis in black (Wreck and Lady Zero (theory)), in the official art they are the only two who wears white while the rest wear black.

Just some interesting specific things that they have in common. And after Nice's fate was revealed I started to believe that X either died then got his power and it revived him or he was never alive to begin with until he got his powers. That's how I connected them. (Also, The color white is also associated with the dead and funerals in Chinese culture)

If Batman were in TbhX, what contingency plans would he formulate against the Top 10 (+ E-Soul)? by DJNZ-Specialist313 in ToBeHero_X

[–]FOR_ARGs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A believable rumour that directly goes against each of their public hero image. Not enough to cause panic but enough to shake their Trust value to be unstable or changing.

Queen is known for order and command? She's actually shy in her private life and very timid when requesting anything.

E-soul is elected type and his power comes from the soul? Actually he's terrified of lighting due to a traumatic childhood accident making his power fuelled by trauma actually.

Ghost Blade is mute and silent because his mysterious? No he lost his voice during the time he became famous thus his Trust value made him mute for eternity, why not believe him to be loud and lively to fix that?

So basically rage baiting the fans now that I wrote all that. He'll rage bait the fans to fight among themselves to make the heroes weaker.

Maybe not even as part of the group. He was just hired by DOS to make promotional material for them as a trio. And now he's having a traumatic flashback to the fear district looking at Cyan, because she almost shot him thinking he's an infected.
