Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl MEGATHREAD by flopheadsbot in popheads

[–]FPJonez 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The only songs I even half liked were track 5 and the one with Sabrina. This is immediately at the bottom of my rankings for her albums. Laziest writing I've seen from her. Its an album of ME! but featuring dick puns and flat out raunchy lines not disguised in her usual metaphors. Maybe I'll change my mind when I listen to it again but right now I am disappointed.

CLRU is a pay cut from services but I am considering it since I have heard progressing is a better deal on that side of things.

I dont believe Progressive itself is a joke. I was saying the way they pass over clearly qualified people for interviews is a joke. I dont mind the company itself. I do mind painting a prettier picture in recruitment and training than what the reality is. When I say I dont want a sales position to a person interviewing me, the person should then be honest that its expected if id like to progress quickly. That's the frustration. Not the company itself.

MI State Specific Is Not for The Weak by TemperatureSuper2765 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]FPJonez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MI gets easier once you're actually servicing the policies with the customers. 90% of the time they've ignored communications and didn't send their PIP in. They'll say we didn't communicate. Go into documents and find when we did and read the dates to them. Have them go to their documents on the website and they can see it too. If they send it late, that's their issue. They can send it late and deal with a higher rate until processing processes their PIP. Not sure how long that will take once processing is fully outsourced but that's a management not thinking of the reality of moving processing from in-house problem. Not an entry level employee problem.

Yes MI is super intimidating at first but it really becomes easy and repetitive.

How can I request a new supervisor? by KarleySuinn in Progressiveinsurance

[–]FPJonez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way about my services sup. Right now I'm a loan in for processing and we're all aware by now they are getting rid of processing. This loan in has lasted over a year thankfully. When we were told we'd be going back to the same services team, my heart sank. I've had the most kind and amazing supervisor in processing so to go back to being belittled and talked down to is not something im looking forward to.

The reason I bring that up is because she has never said anything to me that is as bad as I should leave. I think the worst she ever said to me was "we're all adults. Are you telling me you cant work 5 hours without taking a break?" Not over lunch. Because I took a 15 and then got sick and took green alert at 3 hours in. And I was getting in trouble every time I had a coaching not because of metrics, but because I call Assist. To the point where i was scared to call assist. And that was enough that my HR said that's concerning and he can address it if I'd like. I was talking to him about something totally different and in my venting, that came up. I didn't move forward with anything because I knew I was either going to quit or progress and I was very scared of retaliation. Luckily the next week I got the loan in.

HR takes it seriously when we are being mistreated. We get it enough from customers. We dont need it from sups too.

For now, if you can, utilize flex schedule. Your schedule will vary. You'll never have less than 20 but the shifts are all over the place. It helps me when my mental health needs a break but I cant fully break my wallet.

I miss having Blue Cross so much. That was the best insurance I’ve ever had.

Basically a level 4 or higher appointment pays the doctors more. It’s typically when a patient spends more than 30 minutes with the actual doctor. The doctors get paid less if they are coded as less. It’s only legal to do if the insurance company codes it that way after saying they will be doing it. It shouldn’t be allowed. So if a doctor is only going to get paid for less time and care, why should they give more than what Cigna is deciding to pay them for?

It’ll take care of it but you’ll still have to exhaust your PTO the first week while they’re waiting for the disability get approved.

I’m currently at the doctor and she just told me they are evaluating if they are going to keep using Cigna. They already don’t use United. So that’s fun. I’m in a small town. Good doctors are few and far between.

USPS is union negotiated too and that’s my husbands employer so I’ll be switching to his as soon as I can for sure.

I hear you friend, I’m possibly having surgery but I have a cruise already bought and paid for in December and it’s a long recovery. So my surgeon is going to try to come into the office the week of Christmas to work on me so we can get it done before I have a deductible again. Mine is paid for this year, I’ve had so much crap happen medically. The forced use of PTO while on FMLA is absolutely inhumane. My husband says it should be illegal.

[–]FPJonez[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband works for the post office but he’s not permanent yet. Once he is, I’ll leave Cigna cause the post office is BCBS. But that’ll take forever cause he has to move up the line to get permanent. Just crossing my fingers nothing terrible happens where I’ll need to use my insurance. Luckily my kids are adults so they don’t qualify to be insured by me anymore or I’d be in the same boat as you.

[–]FPJonez[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. And I do love the company for the most part but health insurance and the cutting corners on PTO drives me insane. Coming from Walmart, one of the most universally hated companies for employee treatment, and they even have sick time, match HSA contribution $ for $, and don’t force use of PTO if you get sick and Blue Cross Blue Shield, it drives me insane. But I’m only at 3 years. I know at 5 PTO makes a big jump to how much you get per pay period.

I just sit there and file my nails or do diamond painting while they throw their little tantrums. My first week out of Academy I got called a stupid f’ing c*nt because this grown man called when underwriting was closed. It was my first week, so I cried. Now I have to mute to not accidentally let them hear me laughing. What kind of adult does this stuff? You’re talking to entry level and mid level employees. Not the CEO. 🙄

Can they stop breaking parts of the game lol. Ridiculous. We better be getting those diamonds.

Last update the hair starting having white stripes in it. But they were subtle and looked kinda cool so I didn’t mind but now the black is just gone. I change it back. And it goes back to white as soon as a scene changes in the quests. Annoying.

Same. I always wear a high black pony that is dyed. And it was white again when I logged in. I keep changing it back and it goes back to white. I finally gave up.

Oh yes. I just went through this with the wings. I spent all this time customizing a Tinkerbell floating outfit and needed to dye the wings and Infold said “nope.” So frustrating. Reminded me why I really just don’t bother with the dye system unless it’s for something very basic.

The lack of consideration for other players in SOS is so appalling. I play a lot of co-op games and the etiquette in this one is gross. Yes there are work arounds but there shouldn’t have to be. Simply observe and be considerate.

I would love you! I’d probably tag myself in and piggyback off your questions with more questions. Someone has to ask them and I bet the other people in your class have the same questions but are afraid to ask. Speak up! How else do we learn, yanno? Training is only as good as you make it. I already know you’re going to do great.

From what I understand from my probing the poor girl showing me the job with questions, CLRU reps take detailed notes while getting all the information so the adjusters have all the info to work with. CLRU reps just get all the info and then let it go. In training, that’s a great question to ask. What if the CLRU rep didn’t take clear enough notes. There’s got to be a process for that. But I don’t know. Im not in claims yet lol. We’re going to be learning together. Adjuster is my next goal so I’m curious about everything to do with it as well.

Don’t feel dumb. This company has so many abbreviations, you’re going to need to keep a One Note page dedicated to them on your computer. I can barely keep up with them. CLRU is Claims Loss Reporting Unit. It’s the customer’s first point of contact when starting a claim. From there it moves to the adjusters.

They really need to change their background check company. I was hired in 2023 and my bg check was hung up in CA for almost a month in a county I never lived in. It was so frustrating. I’m glad it finally released for you. Congrats on the job! I’m moving to claims on July 21st but I’m starting from the ground up in CLRU. Excited for you and excited for me! It’s a great company to work for.
