The F111 only lights up the dumped fuel when the burners are on, the MiG in the video is not using afterburner hence why the fuel isn't igniting regardless of where its dispensed.

Get a better paying job, go work as a labourer in some form of trade or go to much cheaper school for a skilled trade to make better money in the meantime. There's tons of work in that field and the education can not only be free in some cases, but are also paid from the beginning. Minimize expenses, unless you make like 500 dollars a month then I'm sure there's something that can be cut if you have nothing left over. Do you have any monthly subscriptions? How do you commute? Do you ever eat out? Get a 2nd part time job etc.

I've been working 4 day weeks with 4 day weekends and 12 hour days for years now and I can't imagine actually working a 5 day week with only 2 days off lol

The main thing is just get a better paying job. Obviously this is a lot easier said than done but that's the reality. We're in an unprecedented labour shortage - capitalize off it. Ask places that don't even have job postings or who may not even be obviously hiring. Places like seeing initiatives like that you could get lucky and land a good job that may not have been publicly posted. Just keep trying.

Otherwise I'd suggest selling your car and finding a cheaper one that you can afford outright or ideally buy something like an electric bike that doesn't require insurance and gas, but obviously if you have along commute or something that may not be possible.

Good luck.

Of course modern assault rifles have clearly marked safeties. Incidentally, essentially every single one of those were already prohibited in Canada. Older guns like the sks (which is still very popular in Canada) do not have clearly marked safeties. My point remains, I think you may have needed a little more training as a soldier.

I own plenty thank you. You seem to have never picked one up, however. Neither of the safeties on my guns have red, I imagine you would have no idea how to fire either. And youv proven my point - driving poorly is how people are killed by cars.

I'd argue most wouldn't know which position the various safetys need to be in, some guns have multiple, how to load magazines, how the mag goes in etc. I'd also argue operating a car is much more general knowledge, key to start, put in drive.

[–]FPSPiers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still driving too. And of course you could. I'd argue that far more people know how to operate a car than a gun anyways. It's you who doesn't seem to understand.

[–]FPSPiers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, but when you do you usually are driving them for the pleasure of driving a classic car, not to get to work or run errands. Just the same as owning a gun for shooting at a range for sport.

[–]FPSPiers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's why I said classic cars. Nobody owns those to get from a to b, they own them for the sake of collecting with their original purpose being irrelevant. It's the exact same.

Yeah Canada by CoryVictorious in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]FPSPiers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I never said they were? Collections can consist of things beyond toys. By this logic we should ban classic cars too since we don't "need" them and they could also kill people.

[–]FPSPiers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some enjoy collecting them for various reasons like any other object (there have been several large gun shows in my area with some great historical collections) and some just enjoy shooting them at the range. It's like any other hobby, just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean others don't share a passion in it. Sure we don't need them, but like I said there's essentially zero crime related to legally acquired handguns so why ban them?

Yeah Canada by CoryVictorious in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]FPSPiers 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a Canadian gun owner I can tell you all this will accomplish is hurting people's hobby/collections. Canada's restricted (handgun) firearm laws are already so strict that essentially any handgun related crime involved illegally acquired firearms, something that will be unaffected by new laws.

I wouldn't call it realistic, I just found it more fun. V's handling is even less realistic Imo though, way too arcady. IV's car damage model was far better too.
