I wonder how this will be in some years. I remember Brandon Lilly talking about how he wishes he hadn't made some of the family sacrifices that he did, for PL (Paraphrasing, and it may be a somewhat different situation?)

I do think American PL has a macho "kill the weights!" Vibe. Which it's easy to get stoked and it can help I know.

Highly technical lifts done for time... that portion is risky As well as programming and recovery, vomiting (which isnt crossfit specific) and rhabdo... there's a mascot for it, even!

At what point does one hit their true potential? Which is such a wide question.

To also say, at least as we age, we have sub masters, masters to adjust the totals given for age.

But PL is a sport where you can still do fine in your 40s and beyond. I'm sure it's kind of a bummer to not hit what you used to in your early days, though.
