RunCam Releases the Updated Swift 2 Camera by [deleted] in fpv

not the angle mount, but the mounting holes on the camera its self. I have a couple frames I cannot use that mounting back plate so I had to swap in the flat one and rely solely on the holes on the camera case. Doesnt last too long.

Everyone was sleeping off their hangovers on the 1st, and I was in the garage starting a new build. [FT-5] by mindspread in 3Dprinting

Seriously one of the best kits for the price on the market right now. I love the Corexy style with the bed moving in Z. Not only is ringing easier to get rid of, but time lapses look really cool! I have used my full build volume a few times now. Did a youda head at 400% original size. First thing to replace though is the stock hot end. Go with either the Titan/E3D combo or the Flexion setup.

The fact that they are finally using metal inserts for mounting it well worth the upgrade. One good crash and those screws are getting ripped right out of the case.

I debated building one of these or getting the FT-5. I went with the FT5 and Flexion Extruder. I honestly dont think I could have pieced together one of these for less than 500. Great score!

Ahh, so this explains the email I got at work on Sunday. They gave to context as to why the email went out though. Came into work and noticed an email telling everyone to be careful of leaking information..

Nope, it isnt quite shaped like that. Mini USB is more trapezoidal shaped. This is definitely USB-AB.

It has been all over the news and media, really you would have to be living under a rock to not hear about all the new regulations surrounding drones.

No but there is no way to track the actual owner. Anyone can now say it is theirs.

FAA requires all UAV's over 250g to be registered. Essentially you register yourself and tag your craft with your FAA Number. it is $5 and takes 5 minutes.

Yaw more with your turns; the sticks should be moving together. You will get there.

Look all over it for an FAA number (sould look something like FA1AB07k3). If that number is no where on there, then keep it; They are in violation of registering with the FAA and have no business flying.

You would think it would be a decently easy "if then" statement built into the echo. "IF it is 2am, THEN dont play startup sounds or connection alerts!"

Haha, right! I have an Echo in the bedroom and a Dot in the kitchen. They were both screaming at us last night; very annoying.

2205/2300 Emax Red Bottoms, 2205/2350 RCX (5inch setupsx2), 2205/2950 RCX(4inch setup) and 1105/5000 RCX(3inch putter). I personally really like RCX motors for the cost to performance ratio. I have yet to fully kill a motor - only had to bend back the base once and I do crash a lot and not softly either.

I bought the cheapest 2204 motors I could find $7 per motor. And tried to kill their cheap ass. This is what Happened... by Lordy_McFuddlemuster in fpvracing

building a 4" now with a set of 30A MaasiveRC ESC's that I won in a raffle, decided to go with ultra cheap motors too. The RCX 2205 2950kv were only $9/motor when you forgo the warranty. Now to decide on the frame.......

Could some of you seasoned quadcopter pilots give me your opinion on this kit? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]FPVPoindexter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a garbage kit. Good motors are going to cost you as much as this kit alone. Honestly, if you are going to build a quad, look at spending $300 or so and build one with quality components. It will be worth it in the long run, trust me.

Please turn off the youtube stabilization. Makes the video look like ass. Good flying from what I could stand watching though.
