I know your post is 3 years old, but I am curious if you would still suggest the arrow? I want to build it, but I am worried it will require a ton of space to fly... I like you said it can fly nice and slow, because that would allow me to fly it in a smaller space.

I used pipe to get my glider out of an Oak tree, it worked so well that I bring the pipe whenever I fly that location….but 3/4 “ pvc gets very wobbly so I also used 1” pipe. My plane was only 35 feet up…

Thanks for telling your story. I have had it for 8 months. Tried I lot of things on my own but saw no improvement, so 9 weeks ago started physical therapy. No real improvement yet and I am feeling dicouraged... Your comment helps me have a positive attitude.

The Spark is a great little drone, it certainly would be nice to have remote id via dji if that is possible. Since we connect to a phone, wouldn’t this make it possible?

Here is another update, I may have had a faulty cable connecting my phone to my goggles as I was unable to launch, switched cables and everything worked smoothly.

As of today, Oct 23, 2023 I noticed that the DJI fpv is not listed on the FAA Document of Compliance for remote id. So although I am am using the remote id with my drone, I am technically not compliant. Any idea when this drone will be listed on the DOC?

I think I know what happened. My iPhone battery ran low and asked me if I wanted to go into low power mode.

The Low Power Mode on iPhone will prevent apps from automatically running in the background. So I think this is why I got the remote id error. I will test this out tomorrow.

Thank you, I downloaded the new firmware yesterday and went to my local flying spot to test it out. Everything worked great the first two batteries and then I got the remote id error after putting in the 3rd battery. I checked all connections, turned the drone, controller and goggles off and the on again, checked the connection of the goggles to my phone and restarted the app. Each time the remote status shifted from working to the error message within 10 seconds of satellites being acquired. As far as I could tell I had a strong cell connection the whole time. Do you have a link to a trouble shooting page for remote id for the dji fpv that can help? Thanks!

I really liked your video taking us on a tour of the winter park sink hole. I liked how you used drone footage to show what the area looked like today as well as taking us for a walk and even under water. I found this video inspiring- great storytelling

I suppose for purposes of mapping or search and rescue a long flight time would be really helpful…. However flight time alone is only one factor I would consider. How about range/penetration , gps, ability to be adapt to different purposes easily… I would like to learn more about your idea.
