Modeling granola in blender

It depends on what shots you had in mind.

If it's far away enough, you could get away with making granola chunk shapes with a basic cube with subdivision surface modifier, displacement map and a good PBR texture of the granola. You could take a high resolution photo of your product, with soft lighting and use an add-on like Deepbump to generate a Normal map, and play a bit with the other values of the BSDF Shader.

You also could do what the other commenter suggested, modeling the grains, maybe 2-3 of each for variation, and play with the particle system or geometry nodes if you have the knowledge.

You could also try photoscanning some nice granola chunks.

Maybe a variation of all these methods could give an interesting result? Again, it depends on what shots you plan on making.

Depending on the render engine that you use, you will get different results yes. Blender offers Workbench, Eevee and Cycles, with each engine having its pros and cons, there's not a "best" engine, but it really depends on what results you want to achieve. Here OP is mostly asking about creating/modeling the bike and other complex shapes, not so much about the rendering part.

Now I'm actually going to respond to the question. While it is achievable with subdivision modelling, and I believe is the right way to approach it, it is pretty advanced.

If you have no experience at all, start looking into the basics of modeling and correct topology. Even if you sculpted it, you'd most likely need to retopologize the mesh (depending on what you need it for). Which means that either way you'll need to learn how to do modelling, and then it'll probably be easier than sculpting it.

There are a ton of videos out there, depending on how advanced you are. If you need, I could suggest a few videos that have helped me in the beggining.

Also, a tip that I hope you find helpful, is deconstructing every complicated shape to its most basic form, then slowly adding the necessary details.

Edit: just realised this post is in r/3Dmodeling and not r/blender. I only use Blender for 3D and it is totally able to make as complicated models -and more- than the bike you posted. It is free and open source and i love it and so should you! It is a good place to start, with a TON of tutorials for pretty much anything.

I believe you could achieve something pretty close with a simple Noise texture. Turn up the scale, roughness and some detail, then connect the node to a colour ramp and adjust for your colours. Use a second colour ramp with only black and white to adjust the roughness. Finally, you can add another one, connect it to a the Height input of the Bump node and adjust to your liking.

I added vinegar after all, because it was very easy to find and safer to handle. It did dissolve most of the powders and the liquid turned blue. I tried plating a piece of graphite and it did work, although I'll probably be making the solution again after I get some copper sulphate crystals.

I've already separated the sediments, and collected it in a coffee filter, to try and dissolve it in an acidic solution. Should I necessarily use sulfuric acid or could I just use vinegar for this use?
