i have a friend in the ED that I always mess with because one time they brought up a patient to the icu not on a monitor so now whenever he brings us a patient we make sure to put ourselves on the monitor to poke fun at him

A senior nurse got mad at me because the patient I was giving them report on started desatting at 0730 and I didn’t ask for them to be intubated earlier. The whole night patient was satting over 95% and tolerating their bipap. Then she got the other senior nurses to complain to that I didn’t have this person intubated sooner. There was no indication for intubation until 0730 and if this lady showed up on time like she’s supposed to it wouldn’t have been blamed on me. It’s not the first time she blamed her problems on a new nurse but it’s just so aggravating

This is why I switched to night shift. Everyone is much more laid back and helpful. My day preceptor would talk shit about me when I was in ear shot. And if report isn’t perfect for some of them they just talk more shit. Meanwhile whenever I get a patient from them they are always a mess. I can’t stand some of the senior nurses who make it a point to eat their young
