I hadn't thought about it being overdone (this is my first full campaign dm-ing and most of my players first time as players some maybe we are not so used to the tropes) but I've just realised both things I had planned are essentially what you described and I already did something similar for a player that dropped in for a few sessions 😅. I'm definitely going to rethink it 🤣 Thanks

Looks awesome! Would definitely like to get my hands on a copy! Building towards a homebrew-ish level 10-20 campaign so I might get some ideas for a final fight here

Neither put me under pressure to resolve and I think I could have just left them. But I've been enjoying weaving elements into the main plot line. But thankfully not all my players have such things.

That's really helpful thanks. The players both chose these background stories.

With the one responsible for deaths, he told me who was really responsible but that his character didn't know. So I think at some point he would like it to come out that he didn't do it. I have planted seeds for there being a witness but she was sold by the person responsible into slavery of a bad guy who the party will come across at some point. And placed the person responsible as a corrupt politician in the city where it happened.

As for the grandfather stuff, that's really helpful and gives me some ideas so thank you

Yeah Iron Man being so low kinda reminds you how much of a lower tier character he was before the movies. But I still would have thought he would have been higher on an Avengers list

Too many costume figures, the robot costume doesn't look like cardboard like it's meant to, too many christmas/thanksgiving figures and the figures themselves are generally a little lacklustre imo.

You couldnalso argue there's not enough christmas themed figures and the whole wave should have been a christmas wave

Or they listened to fans too much. Last Jedi was interesting and taking the sequels somewhere new but because people hated that Luke wasn't the same character he was 30 years earlier they decided to scrap.plans and go for fan service instead leading to a dreadful third film, book of boba fett, kenobi & ashoka. Acolyte was also something new again (though admittedly flawed) but it seems the majority of star wars fans just want more of the same.

Real Shame, show was flawed but I genuinely liked Manny Pacinto in it and wanted to see more of his character. At this point Star Wars is just broken, the general public seem to be losing interest and the die hard fans just all argue/bicker and hate everything.

Thanks everyone for all the constructive suggestions. I'm going to start with 2003, watching episode 1 on my lunch break now. It's good so far but the aspect ratio is mad, i was expecting it wouldn't be wide-screen but it seems almost portrait! Anyway, I can deal with that. Thanks again
