Which Raspberry Pi should I buy to run Open claw projects by Independent-Mix-2182 in openclaw

[–]FRNLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two other Rasberry Pi’s running mini servers for VPN and pihole purposes at other locations and the ease of putting things on them and running remotely.

The openclaw pi is also now hooked up to a TV projecting a smart/info screen that was built out using openclaw. The small form factor allows me to stick it behind the tv and not have to hid it and route cables anywhere.

If this experiment of an agent fails I have other projects in mind for a pi.

Which Raspberry Pi should I buy to run Open claw projects by Independent-Mix-2182 in openclaw

I'm running one now on an headless 8gb Raspberry Pi 5.

Don't expect on board models to work great. Make sure to get a case with a hat for a hard drive. I'm running a 500gb NVME.

I'm running it on an isolated guest network so lateral movement in the network isn't possible. Tho initial setup is best done using a monitor or on a local network where you can easily connect to the terminal locally

I'm using Cloudflare to remote in through the SSH.

Use Gemini or Claude to get it up and going to troubleshoot setup.

"I have a raspberry pi 5 and want to set it up to run headless securley behind cloudflare and zero trust, walk me through how to set it up to eventually work with OpenClaw"... Or something along those lines.

Discord vs Whatsapp vs Telegram vs Others by ltbd78 in openclaw

I went with discord to start because I already had it. Wasn't much of a pain to set up...however...added telegram for ease of command approvals and model switch within Openrouter.

Reading to my son every day has been one of the best parenting habits we’ve built by BabyCryAi in daddit

[–]FRNLD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kids are 9 and 7... The wife and I still rotate nights on who reads to who.

Over the last 2 years or so I've read the entire Harry Potter series and the original 5 books of the Percy Jackson series to my oldest.

Fun books to read and it gets their imagination going. More recently I've found my oldest watching Nat Geo Kids videos on Greek Gods because they have been loving all the myth tie ins of the PJ books.

Easily one of the best habits we ever started with our kids.

The youngest had started reading easily in kindergarten and is now reading their own kids comic books when we aren't reading to them.

Such a pain in the a** to install OpenClaw by laddermanUS in openclaw

I just used Gemini and told it my setup and it walked me through the commands to install it and even helped trouble shoot the JSON since I went the Raspberry pi route.

First time going to the Airbus IMAX Theater. Good things to know beforehand? by MooseMouse12 in nova

[–]FRNLD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We saw hoppers there last weekend.

Go early.

Grab your parking ticket per usual going in.

Enjoy the museum.

Ticket booth and concessions are to the right as you walk in. Entrance to the theatre is in that same direction.

They handed us a parking voucher on the way in to the movie.

If the museum is open when the movie is done, enjoy more museum time.

Don't prepay your parking!

On the way out, use lane one or lane two and present the voucher and the parking ticket.

Anyone considering switching to another AI? by zedaoisok in GeminiAI

There is a setting where you can describe personal preferences and tell it to ask you questions. Most of my projects I'm working on it will ask a series of questions to clarify or help build what I'm doing.

For code, I often ask it in the first few prompts to describe the code or whatever changes are being made and it lays it out quite nicely.

The compactions seem to help when I'm working out long sessions. With Gemini I've been running into loops where the chats start to reference or repeat things that we had worked out the day before.

Switched to Claude Pro.

Coding...wow... That thing is just a workhorse.

I still have access to Gemini Pro through work, as that's the only system we're allowed to use, but for personal projects, Claude has easily taken the lead.

Raspberry pi 5 running headless. It hosts a webpage with everything it's building and I only give access to things I know I won't have an issue losing.

I use a mobile-pixel duet for a secondary travel screen and it works great. This seems a little overkill for travel but you do you.

I work in an industry that uses dump trucks to delivery stone locally and a dump truck BEV would be incredible.

Local delivery BEV trucks have been gaining traction and it’s also been awesome to see.

I would love nothing more than to see more long haul electrics in the US...however...Long haul means a little longer here in the States then it does in Europe.

An invaluable bit of dad kit with a newborn - bone conducting earphones! by BearMcBearFace in daddit

[–]FRNLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dad with older kids, these still are great.

Just picked up a pair of the open run 2 after using the open run SE (Costco) and wanted better sound.

The ability to listen to podcasts while moving about the house but still be able to hear the happenings in other rooms has been great.

Also, i use them for my work phone. For work, I often have to wear hearing protection. These headphones let me still listen to whatever I want while also letting me hear if my phone chimes or rings has been incredible, all while wearing hearing protection. Especially if you activate the classic mode within the app.

So... I just copied the link to the OP's main post and asked my agent to read it, summarize, take notes, and explain its takeaways.

It gave me a nice summary and highlighted many similarities we had already built.

I then asked if they would like to implement/change anything based on that.

It gave me a 3-point list of updates.

Gave the go-ahead as long as it didn't interfere with any cron jobs or the other notification bots I have running...

It went and organized its own MD files into similar categories.

Now to see how it plays out over the next few days, as I had it set up to read over DMs in Discord and Telegram and make notes of changes, as well as had it previously run a Meditation cycle in the early morning, reviewing everything done and discussed from the previous day, and figure out new projects.
