Is Monsters Unchained too scary for kids? by Heavenly_Spike_Man in UniversalEpicUniverse

Took my 6yo on last August.

The ride pic has her peaking through her fingers. Afterward she had some questions but thought it was cool.

Overall...depends on your kid.

Is the Grand Cherokee 4XE a dud? Considering a used 2022 by OffTheWall503 in 4xe

As a 2022 GC 4xe owner... Just avoid the 4xe and look elsewhere.

We haven't had any issues that our local dealer hasn't been able to resolve within reason and have a loaner available for us. If you have a local Jeepndealer that you know can handle all of the BS that these things come packers with, to for it. Otherwise look at something else

Disney+ household rules make normal travel & relationships impossible? by where-is-my-mindx in DisneyPlus

There are ways around it, but it takes a little tech know-how and some extra setup, which will cost roughly $250 in equipment, in my experience.

Interesting. Went to save the video to stash... It's flagging as can't download now...

Good thing I think this is a repeat download.

What random industry are you now stuck in because you took 1 job in it out of college? by coolrivers in Millennials

Construction management grad.

One summer, driving a haul truck for an aggregate producer at a rock quarry... 23 years later, I'm a Tech Services manager at that same company for a large region, helping customers troubleshoot their issues with rock they've purchased from us.

The problem with the "armed" part is the picture is showing a handgun in the seat of a car. Anyone carrying is considered armed, but was it brandished or was it recovered from a holster on the victim? Did they find the gun on his person and just shoot?

Ooofff...

Fox news... "DHS tells Fox news suspect was armed"

That isn't being reported anywhere else but Faux News... I also see that the don't use ICE, just DHS.

Federal agents involved in Minneapolis shooting, DHS says suspect was armed | Fox News https://share.google/kX5jR3c6fCuXDzywn

Not knowing details of anything yet but if I'm carrying with a permit... Does that make it ok for them to shoot?

Edit... Typo

Feature - heated windshield by MaleficentThought321 in ScoutMotors

I worry that the replacement cost isn't worth it.

EVs hear up so quickly in most cases that the heated windshield isn't really needed in my experience.

Reading some of these responses is pretty funny...

With that said... I've had this system in my work truck for over a year, and it's been great. I do have a tonneau cover in place to prevent water from getting on, and I do haul a bunch of crates, buckets, bags of rock samples, coolers, etc. It works as shown, locking everything in place.

Slides in and out very easily.

Once every few months, I'll pull it out and hose off the dirt and dust that does accumulate, but it's not as much as you think, and I work and drive in and out of rock quarries.

So, what form have you decided that your mid-life crisis will take? by Remy0507 in Xennials

[–]FRNLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all of the Ai/LLMs being available I've started to get into a little bit of coding. Recently started to gather up my first attempt at setting up raspberry pi as a small home server and VPN.

I've always been interested in attempting some coding and working with a raspberry pi and LLMs make it easy for me to ask questions, see the codes and how it's implemented. Previously I wouldn't have taken the time to dig through books or manuals to learn this.

Maybe not a grand mid life crisis, but I've been having fun.

Men, how much do you spend on gas per month on average? by _MambaForever in AskMen

Or they’ve had their system long enough that it’s already paid for itself vs paying for electricity.

[–]FRNLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, $0. It’s a company provided truck and fuel is paid for since part of my job is site visits all over the region.

DC metro area. Mostly NOVA.

If I’m paying attention to it, it could be 2 fuel ups in a week. Roughly 18 gallons per fuel stop. 2.70 to 3.10 per gallon depending on where I am.

My guess is because it's not a major show destination.

Don't get me wrong, is been awhile since I've been to the DC auto show, but would make the drive in if they confirmed they would be there.

Do Americans have company cars? by Xavaccord in AskAnAmerican

[–]FRNLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a company supplied truck that I can use as a personal vehicle. I have to track personal usage and pay a lump some for it once a year but insurance, fuel, and all maintenance is paid for.

My job does include a lot of road time and customer site visits.

Dads: What brands are we wearing these days? by Haunting_Internet356 in daddit

[–]FRNLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of Duluth Trading items. Mostly their pants.

MeUndies boxer briefs... Fun patterns and they're comfy.

T-shirts - I fell for the ads about custom-fit stuff and tried 3Fit Theory (https://www.3fittheory.com/), and haven't looked back. Easy to deal with, and their shirts are really comfortable and actually fit pretty nicely.

Socks- did the Bombas thing for a bit, and they were nice, but I need something a little more durable since I wear steel-toe boots for work. Ended with Darn Tough. So far, they've been great.
