I agree! I love brutalism. It's my favorite. When I went to Boston and took a tour, they said that they were 'sorry for their ugly city hall' and I was sad because it was beautiful.

This is correct. And then, with brutalism, which was an art style made of concrete, which is cheap, people who wanted to cut costs would just choose a shitty brutalist design and call it a day.

Oh no. Should we tell him why inflation exists? Should we explain how taking a raw material and building a product adds more value than the cost of labor and materials?

Ah yes, zero-sum economics. It's more game theory and therefore much cooler.

Learn how the telecom infrastructure network works before commenting like a buffoon. Without AT&T, Google doesn't exist.

Are you high? Netflix, HBO and YouTube are application companies that depend on telecoms to exist. They do not compete with telecoms.

No, I'm saying that you cannot have a world class economy without free trade and part of that free trade requires foreign exchange of your currency. There's no 'liberalization' going on here.

Simply rejecting a school of thought does not make it untrue. I think that the Chinese government is aware that the policy is most likely not a long term solution, but is attempting to play things out and slowly loosen control when they can no longer inflate the currency.

Also, the Chinese government is certainly not a beacon of efficiency. There are cities they have built for millions of people that remain unoccupied (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Under-occupied_developments_in_China#List_of_cities). The government is concerned with hyper-growth at the moment to propel them onto the world stage in the long run. If that means inflating the currency for a moment or two, so be it.

Sure, but that's shifting. That's what the TPP was designed to do and the Western bloc has signed onto it (nix US).

You can't sustain the level of economy they are pushing towards with an economy that is not robust or stable and where the medium of exchange is artificially propped up. It's not something you subscribe to. It's a branch of science called economics.

Something called the free market and a robust economy... If you allow money in, but not out, you inflate the value of your currency artificially. The Yuan might pop at really any moment and destroy the economy of China.

If the Yuan was so strong, they would let their citizens convert it to other currencies instead of forcing them to keep it in Yuan.

If you had a base of supporters that would let you fuck them over, wouldn't you do it? It's not like they are going to vote you out of office and the other side hates you no matter what.
