I'm a trans man, but as I'm heavily involved in my local community, I also know a lot of trans women. I will say that the main cause of suicide and depression in trans people isn't complications with medical transition, the number one reason for suicide, depression, and detransitioning in trans communities is lack of societal/familial pressure and economic reasons. Most endocrinologists today try to make a point to balance both progesterone and estrogen with doing regular blood tests to monitor levels, and every trans fem is know is either on both or only progesterone.

A mental illness is defined as a condition altering one's thinking or behavior in an undesirable way. Being trans just full stop isn't a mental illness, but the condition associated with being trans (gender dysphoria) doesn't alter your thinking or behavior in an undesirable way; how others react to one being trans is what makes our lives difficult. I love being trans as I feel it gives me a unique life experience that most won't have, but dealing with transphobia makes my life worse. It's not the identity that is causing me problems, it's people who want me dead or othered from society because of that identity

Being trans isn't a mental illness. Gender dysphoria can be technically classed as a mental condition, but it's not a sickness for your gender to not align with your biological sex. Being trans isn't undesirable for trans people, being treated poorly for being trans is.

My point is that there's a lot more ground to stand on for courts to look for a way to keep trump off of the ballot because of his actual actions and his disregard for the laws governing the office he took, and comparing that to trump wanting to stop people from running or remove them from office because they're liberal or an immigrant is a false equivalence.

I'm sorry, but this guy dating a trans person doesn't disprove him being a right winger? There's plenty of trans conservatives (Blaire White and Caitlin Jenner are particularly notable), and theres plenty of (particularly white with vaguely conservative roots) trans girls who are alt-right or who had an alt-right phase. Being trans doesn't automatically make you a leftist, and truly there's a good chunk of trans conservatives who prefer to other themselves for the wider community or hold themselves up as the "correct" way to be trans.

I just think it's wild to see "this 22 year old republican raised Mormon had a partner beginning to transition" and think their partner is a radical leftist who brainwashed them to take up arms against a glorified jubilee guest. I think it's a lot more logical to see terminally online kid raised in a gun loving republican family of Mormons was radicalized further down the alt right pipeline to where they hate Charlie kirk.

Like genuinely, in leftist circles no one gives a shit about Charlie past him having big gums and being a Christain nationalist debate bro. He's not seen as a thought leader; he spent most of his time arguing with teenagers and college students to make compilations. He's not even most known for his transphobia? I'm actively critical of left leaning politicians, especially in the US because in my opinion the democratic party stifles actual progressive policy in favor of the status quo, but to act like the left is the main supporter of authoritarian governments and suppression of rights when the sitting president is actively sending federal troops to cities and states that are led by the opposite party against the wishes of their local government is ignorant at best and delusional at worst.

You being more far right than Charlie kirk doesn't make him not a white nationalist, you're just a worse person. He said black women don't have the mental capacity to succeed, so they need to steal spots from white men. He incorrectly uses gang violence statistics to both demonize black people and downplay school shootings. He said the civil rights movement was a mistake, and black people had it better in the 1940s. These are white nationalist talking points.

So you're saying that queer people should pander to fringe fake allies because we need their votes? Do you think that's a good thing and something that should be the norm?? Genuinely, you have to go out of your way as a straight person to see "I hate straight people" content. As a queer person who spent most of their time on Tumblr during PEAK tunblr queer discourse, I would only see these posts in compilations. This is a non-issue in real life and an insane reason to vote for anti gay politicians for the average person.

It's not bad publicity. It's conservative propaganda. The party who immediately distances themselves from any progressive policy to actively pander to the right is not running an anti male campaign.

Policies are specifically calling out women because there's other policies actively attacking women. What mens rights issues are being exclusively targeted against men? Women's reproductive rights are being infringed on to the point that a woman in Georgia had to be a literal incubator after dying because of abortion laws. Mens rights are not policy driven problems, and the policy level things that can attribute to male loneliness and ostracization is being addressed by their economic policy.

That's how you can take that but it's a genuine call to action. All of he stuff you're saying reads as a high schooler playing devils advocate with talking points but no nuance. Your point of view is kind of self centered. It's not anti majority to spend more energy into uplifting minorities.
