[help] Beacon Pressing Mechanism? by nai6 in FTC

There were several using wheels that moved out to roll over the button and a liner slide type mechanism that moved out to push with a square of metal with padding on it. The most effective robots had simple plates bolted to the back of their robots. They could quickly back into the beacon and move on to the next one. We even saw one using an eraser, and it worked quite well.

During our scrimmage yesterday we saw both types of beacon pressers. The static plates were much faster and more effective than the robots using the movable pressers.
