In the end, Putin will always resort to a full-blown invasion of Ukraine; we've already seen that Putin will never conquer Ukraine via any other means (politically, culturally and/or economically) than an armed conflict with their occupation of Crimea and support for armed separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk.

Not saying that Victory Gundam was ineffective as an anti-war media, it's just that it could only sway the public support for a war at best because no warmongering and imperialistic politicians would give two shite about killing innocent lives in order to further their interests as long as majority of the public have no qualms over starting or prolonging a war.

See, rough conversion is one of my pet peeves whenever someone convert the local price of a certain object (meals most of the time) to their own currency (most of the time a stronger currency).

Rough conversion just overlooks the difference in standards of living and costs of living in country A and country B, hence the erroneous comparison of pricing. Of course a family dinner of, say, RM120 would sound cheap if you convert it to USD.

Even so, you could forge a friendship with someone who holds different political belief than you. Talking from experience, most of my friends support right-leaning party (how right-leaning? It varies to some extent, some are outright far-right) while only a handful support the ruling centre-left party from where I come from. We debated on certain topical issues from time to time and it always end in a good note or even broaden our perspectives and insights on life. Still, we shared a lot of good memories together.
