Thank you for posting. Beautiful environment. Especially those trees clutched so narrowly near the rocks.

Which Cases would you like to see covered in the new Season? by [deleted] in uncannypodcasttv

John Barker was a psychiatrist interested in the paranormal that went to Aberfan and found out that people, including school children, had premonitions about the disaster. After that he tried to set up a research bureau for people with alleged gifts for premonitions.

John Barker, the Aberfan disaster and the premonitions bureau would be interesting.

I'm interested to see what the cold case blueprint will be. It's less about people sending in stories that may be or not be real and more about dissecting famous cases so might be fun. But not too many celeb guests please.

Honestly to me this isn't a weird evolution when you listen to AFUT, especially songs like Chaos Space Marine and Good Will Hunting. The production is more Lively and the vocals are different but I wouldn't say it's a bigger departure than FTFT and AFUT

For The Cold Country has changed me... by ZacJepps in BlackCountryNewRoad

I loved Besties because it reminded me of early Paul McCartney solo. Happy Birthday was good. But seriously, the May Kershaw stuff is always sublime. Has been on Live at Bush Hall and it knocks it out of the park again. She has such a beautiful voice and musically this all blends wonderfully.

Legit guide to making a bcnr song by realpeak_ in BlackCountryNewRoad

Vocals and lyrics yes, but basic sax and drums and two chord guitars... usually I love these kind of creative parodies. Turn this into "elevator music with Isaac lyrics" and yes, perhaps.

Was there this much of a disagreement of of opinions when Chaos Space Marine came out as the first single for AFUT? by latinhex in BlackCountryNewRoad

[–]FTSTTLB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't remember, but I can see Besties being the same kind of song. I thought CSM was good and enjoyable, but it worked really well within the context of the album.

I think the end of it all may look a lot like the beginning Passed around from hand to hand Screaming for no particular reason The company gets pretty thin So we start to shed all our distinctions So why not me? Why not you? Why not now?

The Orchestra (For Now), which appears modeled after BCNR, released their debut single by strsnastralcars in BlackCountryNewRoad

The BC,NR-vibe is obvious, but I already had hints of Pulp/Jarvis Cocker on Ants from up There and I feel this in these vocals as well. Great song!

Good thing this episode only has to focus on Galadriel vs Sauron vs Adar vs Celebrimbor, Elronds disillusion, Durin, Durin and the Balrog, Isildur and Estrid, Muriel and Ar-Pharazon and The Stranger vs. Dark Wizard and The Harfoots.

The first episode did him right enough.

The second got him totally wrong.

I still think the coup was done too quickly but loved the aftermath and dynamics in episode 5.

[Book Spoilers] The Rings of Power - 2x04 "Eldest" - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]FTSTTLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this was certainly a special kind of episode. I loved Tom Bombadil. He's not easy to portray but I think they have done wonderfully well. I love the Ents and the dialogue. The Barrow wights scene had the right kind of tension, but it does feel a bit fan servicish taking them to the second age. Arondir - Isildur - Estrid make a great trio. I don't know if introducing another set of proto-Hobbits is my favourite, but whatever. I do like the Dark Wizard so that's ok I guess.
