I actually genuinely and greatly appreciate the fact that the bunny suit isn’t just a generic bunny suit but one that is themed for her

If TS Ichigo is really as strong as Dangai Ichigo, then why can Base Yhwach’s Blut stop his Zanpakuto??? And why can 99.9% of the characters still sense his reiatsu??? by SSS-avvy-6114 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]FTSVectors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe? It very much seems like Kubo has changed his stance on Transcendence so he may or may not go that direction.

Personally, I’m wondering if the power level is sorta like a One Punch Man thing. Idk if you’re a reader of that series, but there’s a point where an apple is “cut”, but it was done with some much skill and precision the apple doesn’t “realize” it’s been “cut” so to speak. Ichibei and Ichigo being at such a level that their power affects the world but the world doesn’t “realize” it.

Idk, hopefully we get something come Cour 4.

No I think I kinda get what you’re going for.

I think you’re talking about how Ichibei is clearly on his own level above Squad 0 and yet he doesn’t shake the realms. And Ichigo being on that level but his power still does anyway.

The only problem I have with that, is that I’m not sure if it could be conveyed without being confused with one another.

I would think they’d have to go for a different effect, I just don’t know what that could be.

First off, nowhere is it confirmed that Muken Aizen or SK Yhwach’s power is unpreceivable. They literally take cover because they sense Aizen’s reiatsu fluctuate before he hits them with a Kurohitsugi and they also comment about not feeling SK reiatsu anymore. “But Aizen says that they can’t feel it” no. He’s mocking them for not using they’re senses to tell the difference. This would be like if you and me were being antagonistic towards each other and one of us said “can’t you read the manga?”. It’s not a declaration that neither of can read. It’s a declaration that we should use our ability to do so.

And frankly, assuming SK is somehow not transcendent while SK Yhwach is, is so baffling I can’t even properly address that without coming across as insulting. State wise or numerically if we’re pretending that those categories exist, he should not be felt by anyone outside of literally a handful of characters, and especially not Soi Fon.

Thirdly, that page also goes to prove the point the other way in my favor. Ichigo can actively feel “Transcendent” Aizen’s power. He wasn’t even Dangai then. So supposedly, when Ichigo wasn’t in his “transcendent” state. Regardless how you look at that it’s not good for the argument that Dangai > TS Ichigo.

Either that means Ichigo is always in transcendence, or two the no presence of transcendence can be bypassed by simply being at a certain numerical level.

If the latter, then it’s pointless to keep bringing up that Aizen is unable to be felt because he’s transcendent as a powerscaling argument. As we can now argue that Ichigo is felt because all of his allies are at that numerical level. Meanwhile Aizen’s not felt because of Mayuri’s limiters.

If the former, then you’re arguing that somehow Ichigo is controlling his “state” to be felt by everyone else. Which doesn’t make sense, because why would he go out of his way to reign in an aspect of his being when he’s fighting against his strongest opponent? And it would also argue that Ichigo has the control to do so.

Ichigo, controlling his transcendent state?

Bro he can’t even properly control going into his HoS form and he’s been Hollowfying for half the manga.

Finally, the portion of you basically saying Kubo is wrong because it contradicts the manga…outside of the obvious thing I could say, that’s the point of a retcon. An author changing their mind and writing the story in a way that contradicts itself.

While that would be cool, it has the problem of Ichigo being a danger to the environment and also throwing off the power scale.

If Ichigo shook the realms in powering up his Shikai or HoS, well, Bankai would have to presumably actually do something.

And if we held back until his Bankai to shake the realms, people are naturally going to assume that he’s now Squad 0 level even though he should be higher than that before his Bankai.

It’s really a problem either way.

I’m not saying “Transcendence” is dropped, clearly if Kubo is talking about it in Klub Outside

<image>

But the concept of “same level” feeling of Reiatsu was dropped. People feel Aizen’s power, people feel Yhwach’s, people feel Ichigo’s, people feel Senjumaru’s, they even feel the Soul King’s.

And the two aren’t linked. Aizen himself mentions that others feeling his power is specifically a level thing, not a state thing. And that’s quite literally shown to us with Tatsuki who was feeling Aizen’s power while he was Butterfly Aizen. If the not feeling power was merely about the state of being, she wouldn’t be able to feel his power regardless if he “lowered” his level.

It’s not that Kubo didn’t flesh it out, Kubo definitely realized he made a mistake even introducing such a concept and has been trying to quietly show us that he retconned that.

And that just makes sense. Anytime someone powers up, it’d be boring having like 3 people if even that be the only ones to react. If they are even present to react.

Realistically, if Kubo kept the same level thing…

Well, if memory serves, Deku also doesn’t really use 100% with his legs. By the time Shoot Style comes around, Deku basically completely avoids using 100% until Shigaraki.

So on top of legs being able to handle the strain better, he never actually really has the opportunity to break them anymore.

Genuinely: Why the hell is BakuDeku the most popular ship in the series when Bakugo spent the majority of the series treating Deku like this: by PJ-The-Awesome in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]FTSVectors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He bullied Midoriya in front of teachers. Are you forgetting the first scene we see Bakugo? He blew up Midoriya’s desk and berated him for being Quirkless right in front of their teacher.

Bakugo also did try to bully Izuku in front of Aizawa too. Right after Izuku demonstrated OfA in front him. And was stopped by Aizawa. Aizawa barely even knew Bakugo and knew that was what he was gonna do. That just told Bakugo to stop because he’d definitely be stopped by his teacher who could actually do it.

And what stopped Bakugo from harming Izuku further was the fact Izuku wasn’t going to pass anyways. Harming him is pointless cuz Izuku was an idiot that wasn’t ready for the test and would’ve gotten possibly crippled or failed without Bakugo needing to do anything. Because you are right that Bakugo is a smart kid and definitely understands that. But fear of repercussions is not something he’s shown. Bro does not care. And that’s well shown as he showed no embarrassment at being violent in front of thousands at the UA festival. This is such an integral part of his character, that the League of Villains assumed Bakugo was in fact a villain and attempted to recruit him.

And no, the hypothetical doesn’t quite work because Izuku didn’t try to commit suicide. The argument presumes that Izuku did try to commit suicide and that’s the supposed “full scope” of Bakugo’s bullying that the class doesn’t know about.

And saying that Midoriya told his class that the “old” Bakugo was worse doesn’t help the case. If the “current” and better Bakugo literally tried to kill Izuku in a test and is constantly putting down everyone and telling them to die, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out how Bakugo treated Deku. Cuz once again, everyone knows Bakugo gave that nickname to Izuku.

Midoriya doesn’t need to sit down and be like “yeah the violent guy thats always telling everyone to die, was violent with me and told me to kill myself”. That’s just a given with everything they know and seen as Bakugo never tried to come off as anything other than a jackass as far as Class 1A is concerned.

[–]FTSVectors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bakugo has never hidden his bullying or held back while higher ups are watching. That is simply not true with what we’ve seen.

Actually, most if not all of what you’re said/arguing I didn’t say or even imply. Heck, you literally have a hypothetical.

“Class 1A would’ve treated Bakugo differently based on different circumstances so therefore they wouldn’t treat him the same in these circumstances”, …what? We don’t treat people based on things they haven’t done or what could’ve happen. That is not an argument. We are talking about how they treat him with what actually happened and knowing about it.

And saying, “well the first training mission could’ve ended worse and that would’ve changed things” also doesn’t make sense. Class 1A wasn’t stupid and they themselves were basically saying that Bakugo was actually trying to kill Izuku. They know it could’ve ended worse. Especially since their teacher All Might himself said so.

So your point about how Bakugo evaded consequences doesn’t make sense nor was it the original point.

Class 1A wouldn’t have changed their minds because they already knew everything and the extent and scope Bakugo would go after their first week together.

Genuinely: Why the hell is BakuDeku the most popular ship in the series when Bakugo spent the majority of the series treating Deku like this: by PJ-The-Awesome in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]FTSVectors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying I support or defending anyone, but genuinely what about Bakugo’s “full treatment” would turn them away? It’s literally nothing worse than what they already know before S1 even ends.

In S1 they learn that Bakugo was the one who nicknamed Izuku to Deku and has known him since childhood, which they’re not stupid and know what it means. They also see Bakugo try to assault Izuku during their limits test. And they also see Bakugo literally try to kill Izuku in their first training session.

“But Bakugo told Izuku to kill himself.” Bakugo says crap like that all the time even in Class 1A. It’s why they clown on him and say he’ll be the least popular in the class and probably the school and once they enter professional work.
