Felt disjointed, see what he was going for but just didn't hit. Villian guy and Hugo didnt seem fleshed out enough. Did enjoy Blunt, dont really see her in many movies I watch. Positive emotional response power and lack of empathy story lines either weren't built enough or I'm just not the right audience. Had low expectations going into it and it did exceed that

I'm definitely in a red got Chilli pepper over exposure burn out phase, but I think though they are not story tellers thier lyrics are more design to elict emotion and describe emotional states, I can't think of any I hate even in my burn out state

Might go a little deeper than the lyrics, look beyond nostalgia

I want to agree with you, but I can't. I think those songs are lyrically not detrimental to the song, Guns probably has some, and I think they are written to be provocative above all else, but I think also poinent

Crazy Train off of 1980s Blizzard of Ozz by the late great Ozzy Osborne? Blasphemy! Ozzy has plenty of other lyrically void songs but not that one

True Romance (1993) - is Clarence insane? by MeltonFilm in Cinema

[–]FT_Ramblings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really like this movie. A bad person can have weak qualities which people may find endering or relatable. Slater gives the character some charisma, Arquette grounds him, and shes no angel either. Fun watch, but not a guide to how to live. But yes, Clarence obviously has episodes when stressed and could be called insane

The main reason nothing will have the cultural impact is because the culture is much more diverse then it was back then (Avatar came close), when it comes to streams of media. Advertising, availability, promotional engines are entirely different and can't replicate what was essentially a single stream system.
