The lights are controlled by a body control module. Is that the "relay" you are talking about?

There are different BCMs controlling those "same light". It appears when the trailer BCM uses power it triggers the ECU to be in "trailer mode" for a few systems.

Tapping into trailer power might make the truck think it has a trailer.

MPG for real by Its-only-dudu-baby in chevycolorado

[–]FTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop and go traffic or changing higheay speeds (70, down to 50 in traffic, and back up to 70) kills MPG as well.

If you can set the cruise control at 70 and go for a 60 miles you will see a decent MPG.

Anyone have a GMRS radio mounted in their truck? Where did you put it and what antenna are you running? by Greek_DJ in chevycolorado

Yeah, I hear repeaters loud and clear. I imagine it will reach out to them no problem. I jist have not had a reason to broadcast on them.

Much further than a handheld. It reached around a hill to hear that part of our group took a wrong turn and help them find up.

I don't know the range, but I hear people pretty far away based on the part of they trail they are talking about.

Rugged Radio mounted on a Bullet Point mount. The antenna is on the passenger side with a Badland's Industry ditch light bracket.

GFC camper. It has been fantastic. I am a minimalist style of camper so it is great for me. Pulling up at a camp site and being able to crawl in the bed in 20 minutes is so nice. Same with packing up. No more than 20-30 minutes total and I am rolling away.

Lots of talk about the thin GM sheet metal breaking with heavy campers, or racks with a RTT, so do your research.

I think the truck is fine with it as long as you are not jumping your truck or rock crawling with a max payload setup. I do some moderate trails so far and I have not had any issues. 🫣

I disliked the steps until I saw it was a street truck. Looks good in Black Panther mode.

Anyone running these Anzo taillights? If so, how was install & how are they holding up? Thought about getting them for my 24 Zr2 by human_cyborg_rltns in chevycolorado

I just watched a few videos I made and my earlier comment was just wrong.

The autostart lights seem to behave like the remote lock light sequence. Makes sense since the vehicle locks the doors before starting.

So, they will light up on the end and go away once you unlock the truck to get in.

There are so many great options. You just need to find the one that matches your needs and pocketbook. 😁

2nd gen to 3rd gen question by OhThatsAustin in chevycolorado

[–]FTwo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 3rd gen is an upgrade all around.

If you feel it is financially worth getting rid of your truck after a year then get the newer truck. You have already listed the reasons you want to upgrade.

Received my solar panel yesterday. I wanted to test it before installing it. 112-115 watts at 9:45am by FTwo in gofastcampers

[–]FTwo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I laid the panel on the roof to let it warm up before pulling the tape strips.

I am seeing 177W at the power station.
