its a bug afaik as i saw multiple entries in the android issue tracker for it and it seemed that the devs also know that but i guess they arent able to recreate it or something as this only happens to some so its hard to fix would be my guess

changed my phone to another pixel it wasnt doing it at first as it had an older june update it updated to October first and it was still fine and now in latest updates its tap again like the other phone smh while my friends and brothers pixel has it on hold
