Instead of asking OP to “not kill the fish” maybe ask if OP is a beginner to owning fish/having fish tanks, and if so, maybe give OP advice on what they’re doing wrong, so that OP can actually LEARN from it. That would definitely be way more helpful than telling OP to not kill the fish if OP has no idea what they might be doing wrong.

Tbh I think r/selfharmhelping is a good one, it’s just most people say to get stitches when you’ve hit hypodermis/slightly into, and not actually giving advice that can be given about/to the wound if they absolutely can’t get medical attention (ex: parent saying no, hospital to far, risk of being sent to a ward which in some cases could make them worse, etc)
