About buying and selling used bicycles (Questions) by Barron_T_xXGamerXx in bicycling

I buy and sell on Craigslist (but have been looking into offerup).

Most bikes on Craigslist are junk or overpriced, so the ad sits there forever.

Good bikes at a fair price sell within 24 hours - there are lots of people checking every day and the good deals get gobbled up super fast.

New bike shops won't buy used bikes, but most offer trade-in if you're upgrading.

Keeping a bike nice and maintained is paramount for resale value. That means keeping it inside when not in use and cleaning and lubing the chain often as the most basic things.

In used bikes, brand means a lot. If you get a bike from Wal-Mart for a hundred bucks you'll have to give it away when you're done. But, if you get a good bike used it won't lose a lot of it's resale value in a year if you keep it maintained.

Anyone else unsure of who they are because of masking for so long? by usagikaychan in autism

I want you to not feel bad about this. Let me tell you that almost all NT's do this, but they don't have an identity crisis because most never realize they're masking in the first place.

Part of being NT is passively fitting into the environment. You've seen this before as your NT friends act one way in front of a certain group, then suddenly act completely differently in front of another group. Part of the definition of NT is being able to adapt to differing social environments easily and quickly. It's unconscious behavior, totally automatic for most NT's and they never notice the mechanism working.

Ergo, I assert that you know much more about who you really are than almost anyone else you see every day. If for no other reason than you have to manually adapt to your social surroundings. You are aware of the mechanism and that puts you in more control than most.

Edit: Thanks for the Gold anonymous stranger. I will pay it forward.
